A partir de uma acurada pesquisa bibliográfico-documental, apresenta o resultado das análises das obras que contempla desde questões sobre sua materialidade ao perfil estético chancelado por essas duas instâncias: mercado e crítica literária (avaliação dos membros dos júris dos prêmios). Assim, discute o panorama de livros para jovens que atualmente tem encontrado terrenos férteis na sociedade brasileira e evidencia também quais critérios de qualidade estão presentes em obras brasileiras de literatura juvenil que figuram, inclusive, o cenário internacional, a partir da publicização e análise de obras premiadas pelos prêmios Fnlij e pelo Prêmio Jabuti. Por que é relevante falar sobre a publicidade nesse contexto de YouTubers e influenciadores digitais? Porque vemos novas formas de publicização dos produtos com base na experiência desses produtores de conteúdo. Além disso, essas novas formas nem sempre são sinalizadas como anúncios, o que torna nebulosa a persuasão dentro do entretenimento dos vídeos. Assim, temos a publicidade de experiência, na qual o YouTuber experimenta o produto na frente da câmera. Com as crianças, a publicidade de experiência é uma forma delas aprenderem a usarem produtos que nem possuem ou nem conseguirão adquirir por causa das condições econômicas dos pais. Os vídeos dos YouTubers são persuasivos para o público, pois existe uma relação de afetividade e confiança nesses produtores de conteúdo, que criam uma narrativa para anunciar algo. Temos um cenário de publicidade em que esta é feita por alguém e vista pelas crianças diariamente em seus smartphones, telas individuais nas quais escolhem o que lhes interessam. Por isso, o livro buscou entender essas dinâmicas a partir de uma imersão teórica e de uma pesquisa aprofundada com as próprias crianças. Assim, a leitura deste livro é relevante por apresentar os formatos da publicidade no YouTube e por investigar as percepções das crianças em relação à identificação e à persuasão do discurso publicitário.
