Im April 2011 ubernahm das Schweizer Unternehmen Kamkorp Autokraft den traditionsreichen Autohersteller. Die Frage, ob und ggf. mit welchen Modellen Bristol die Produktion von Neufahrzeugen wieder aufnehmen wird, hat Kamkorp gegenwartig noch nicht entschieden. Sitz der Produktion war Filton bei Bristol. Die Modellpalette umfasste zuletzt das zweiturige Coupe Bristol Blenheim, dessen offenen Ableger Blenheim Speedster sowie den Hochleistungssportwagen Bristol Fighter. Daneben beschaftigte sich Bristol auch mit dem Nachbau klassischer Modelle wie dem 405 und mit der umfassenden Uberarbeitung und Aktualisierung gebrauchter Bristol, die unter der Bezeichnung Series 6" vermarktet wurden. Ein weiteres Standbein war die Restaurierung alterer Bristol-Fahrzeuge, die von der Insolvenz nicht betroffen war. Ursprunglich existierte die Bristol Aircraft Company als einer der bekanntesten britischen Flugzeughersteller und Motorenbauer (Sternmotoren) zwischen den beiden Weltkriegen. Fur die Royal Airforce stellte sie die leichten bis mittleren Bomber-Modelle Bristol Blenheim und Bristol Beaufighter her.
