Successivamente il testo evidenzia le caratteristiche della dislessia nell’apprendimento della lingua italiana tramite il ruolo fondamentale dell’esercizio di lettura, un’attività che accompagna gli studenti con Disturbi Specifici dell’Apprendimento per l’intero percorso scolastico e che assume sempre maggiore importanza man mano che procedono da un ordine scolastico a quello successivo. L’intervento riabilitativo può, pertanto, essere uno stimolo in grado di modificare, in modo clinicamente significativo, la velocità di lettura in un dato momento. Inoltre, viene trattato il tema della «didattica per competenze» come chiave di volta per favorire una reale inclusione di soggetti con Bisogni Educativi Speciali, studenti con dislessia compresi. Il volume è arricchito dalla descrizione di diverse esperienze e attività , interviste a laureati con dislessia e già inseriti nel contesto lavorativo.
