Mereka adalah ayah bunda Sukarno Presiden Republik Indonesia pertama. Kisah cinta mereka boleh dicatat sebagai tonggak inspirasi proses kebangsaan Indonesia sebelum berdirinya organisasi Boedi Oetomo 1908. Ditulis dengan imajinasi, didukung penelitian, dan bukti sejarah sebagai catatan kaki, serta mengaitkan misteri peran sosok Herman Neubronner van der Tuuk, intelektual Belanda yang berlawanan sikap dengan pemerintah Belanda yang menjadi sponsor pengirimnya.
