Ao debruçar-me para escrever este livro, não havia clareza resolvida como o faria. Uma coisa estava evidente: algo me inquietava. Eu observava algumas reações do cotidiano e indagava comigo mesmo o por quê de um olhar assim. Então, a ideia foi se delineando, tomando forma de palavras, descrevendo sentimentos de como me enxergo e me compreendo no todo, e não menos importante como sou enxergado. Conheci Jesus no início da idade adulta. Neste período, notei que após o apareci mento das cãs, as pessoas dirigiam-se a mim, com um tratamento mais respeitoso: senhor, cidadão, etc. Descobri, entre tanto, que essa deferência, na verdade não seria um mérito próprio. Creio derivar-se do fato real de Cristo viver em mim. Há um poder pacifica dor dentro do cristão. Desconheço alguém que não tenha Deus, que tenha e desfrute desta honrosa paz. A distinção é clara na forma do olhar. Questionando outras pessoas, descobri que é natural e corriqueira experimentarmos esta impressão de inquietações frente a concepções alheias sobre a vida do outrem. Esta sensação é mais patente principalmente quando este outrem somos nós. Olhares que são sutis, interferências avaliativas são comuns do nosso dia a dia. Procurei de forma simples e honesta botar estas verdades no papel, falando de um mundo par ti cu lar. Mundo este onde poucas vezes consentimos dele ser visita do pela razão da graça de Deus. O grande desafio é levar você, que ri do leitor, a uma visita às antes salas do coração, guiadas pela luz desanuviadora da revelação bíblica. De não menos importante falo também do resulta do da observância do comportamento humano. “Sobre tudo o que se deve guardar, guarda o coração, por que dele procedem as fontes da vida.” Pv. 4:23 Este livro tem a pretensão de fazer com que o leitor, refletindo na Palavra de Deus, detecte marcas e raízes no oculto do coração e, assim, identificar estigmas. Permita que o Senhor Jesus trate-as, restaurando, sarando as questões relativas à autoimagem, ao amor próprio, à identidade e individualidade, amoldando-nos como Noiva do Senhor. “Resisti-lhe firmes na fé, certos de que sofrimentos iguais aos vossos estão-se cumprindo na vossa irmandade espalha da pelo mundo.” 1 Pe 2.9 Jesus Cristo é referência de e para o homem, com amor próprio salutar e sensato. Deus comunica o triunfo de Cristo na cruz por nós e, como consequência de tão perfeito sacrifício, usa seus efeitos para nos libertar das profundas marcas na e da vida, tratando em especial de duas sensações tratadas na teoria de moderação de Aristóteles que se aninham nos limites do coração do homem: o vício de ir para um extremo ou outro, o de inferioridade e o de elevação.
