Applying Analytics in Education is one of the trends in this new Technology driven Era. The aim of this project is to integrate data analytics in Asia Pacific University Marketing Department. All the three types of analytics (descriptive, predictive and prescriptive) will be employed. Power BI will be used to create different dashboards depending on the business demands in order to get insight to make better decisions. Based on past years enrolment numbers database, few different forecasting techniques (Moving Average, Winter's Smoothing & Decomposition) will then be applied to the data set. The accurateness of the different techniques will then be evaluated based on the different evaluation criteria and the best technique will then be chosen to forecast the enrolment numbers for the year 2020. Furthermore, nowadays, an issue faced by many educational institution is high number of dropouts as well as students having low GPAs at the end of their studies, that affects the marketing side of the university when it comes to recruiting new students. With schools now having computerized systems to store student's information (both personal information about students as well as educational grades), this data will be analysed in order to help students to improve their grades. Furthermore, students who have low predicted GPAs can be given a special attention and additional classes to ensure their GPAs improve. This report conducts predictive modelling using machine learning algorithms to identify students who will graduate with low GPAs. Three machine learning algorithms were developed, which are Decision Trees, Naïve Baiyes and Neural Network to predict student's GPAs in their final semester of their studies. A comparative analysis suggested that the Decision Tree had better prediction accuracy among all the algorithms used.
