“I want thinkers, not followers!” Internet, social media in general, has this nice feature of making possible for anyone to spread their ideas, as said an online influencer, on TED Talks, “everyone has an opinion”, “does everyone has something interesting to say?” Medium is a website dedicated to independent writers, mainly, like myself. Anyone can write to Medium, there is no curation or selection. Publications are “small organizations” that select those articles: this is the counterpart of conventional/traditional publication systems. In addition to independent writings, I also write to the Publications: Geek Culture, Data Driven Investor, and JavaScript in Plain English. Some articles here were firstly published independently, and after that, either invited or submitted to a publication, or kept as standalone article. What is the best way to use this e-book? The e-book was designed to be read: it does not focus on anything. Some parts are tutorial/hands-on sections, but most of the book is for learning things superficially. General topic: computer programming. More specific topics: Angular; JavaScript; TensorFlow.js Deep learning; Artificial Neural Networks; Computer programming With this e-book, I hope Give my readers an opportunity to support my online work on a gain-gain gesture; Concentrate more on content quality less than view, catchers and so on; Some advantage of the e-book, compared to Medium All the articles reviewed, grammar checked, and more; Several topics curated for you; No distractions, as you read; Extra articles, exclusive for the e-book readers; Exclusive discussions, should you want to talk; How to read this e-book? Even though I have selected the essays, using coding as center, the writings may still be dispersed, wide-ranging. Therefore, this e-book can be nice for reading, with the hope to learn something new. I would imagine that each chapter may call the attention of different people, not all of them at once. The book can be nice as well to keep around, give a first read, and from time to time, should you need, just come back! I would read the book randomly, at first, and keep it around: for me, when I am solving problems, those readings start to come up in my mind, and helps to be creative on my solutions! Grab your copy on Amazon and start to expand your brain!

To learn to program is to be initiated into an entirely new way of thinking about engineering, mathematics, and the world in general. Computation is integral to all modern engineering disciplines, so the better you are at programming, the better you will be in your chosen field. The author departs radically from the typical presentation by teaching concepts and techniques in a rigorous manner rather than listing how to use libraries and functions. He presents pointers in the very first chapter as part of the development of a computational model that facilitates an ab initio presentation of subjects such as function calls, call-by-reference, arrays, the stack, and the heap. The model also allows students to practice the essential skill of memory manipulation throughout the entire course rather than just at the end. As a result, this textbook goes further than is typical for a one-semester course -- abstract data types and linked lists, for example, are covered in depth. The computational model will also serve students in their adventures with programming beyond the course: instead of falling back on rules, they can think through the model to decide how a new programming concept fits with what they already know. The book is appropriate for undergraduate students of engineering and computer science, and graduate students of other disciplines. It contains many exercises integrated into the main text, and the author has made the source code available online.

Virtual Reality is not real life. Instead it is life-like creations using computer-generated scenarios. Human behavior is replicated in virtual scenarios, where every detail is controlled by computers, and in situations that can be repeated under the same conditions. Based on technology and design, the user can experience presence. In the virtual world, users are embodied in avatars that represent them and are the means to interact with the virtual environment. Avatars are graphical models that behave on behalf of the human behind them. The user avatar is a proxy that also backs interaction with others, allowing computer-mediated interactions. Analyses directed to understand people’s perceptions, personal and social behavior in computer mediated interactions, comprise a multidisciplinary area of study that involves, among others, computer science, psychology and sociology. In the last two decades a number of studies supported by Virtual Reality have been conducted to understand human behavior, in some cases the implications of the technology, or to reproduce artificial human behavior. This book presents a collection of studies from recognized researchers in the area.

The parallels between the human brain and computers is easy to see today. But in the 1950’s when John Lilly developed his theory of the human biocomputer, this was a dramatic new way of viewing humans. Much like a driver can step out of the car, we are not our biocomputer. The Self is something far greater and more mysterious. Rooted in his extensive knowledge of neurophysiology, neuroanatomy and electronics and developed through personal experimentation in the sensory isolation tank which he invented, Lilly presents a method for learning to manipulate—to drive the bio-robot, which is our vehicle here on Earth. robots. This manual shows how to step out of the mind-body and find out who we really are.

Denham and has been published by Springer Science & Business Media this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2012-12-06 with Education categories.

Social and Emotional Prevention and Intervention Programming for Preschoolers rests on the idea that young children, under optimal circumstances, develop substantial abilities in social and emotional domains by the time they enter school. These abilities contribute to their success and well-being during these early years, but even more importantly, to both their successful adaptation to school (personal and academic) and their long-term mental health. The chapters of this volume present theoretical foundations for and explanations of what important adults in young children's lives - preschool teachers, daycare providers, parents - can do to encourage the development of such social-emotional abilities, including promoting secure attachment relationships, providing positive behavior guidance, and assisting children in developing emotion knowledge, emotion regulation, social problem-solving skills, and other positive social behaviors. In addition, the book reviews the current state of early childhood programming in each of these crucial areas, with the addition of a chapter on emergent parent programming on emotion coaching. Recommendations are made for making such programming work, for assessing individual children's development and program efficacy, and necessary future directions for this area are detailed.

“Unsettling, absolutely riveting, and—for better or worse—necessary reading.” —Brian Christian, author of Algorithms to Live By and The Alignment Problem An entertaining account of the philosophy and technology of hacking—and why we all need to understand it. It’s a signal paradox of our times that we live in an information society but do not know how it works. And without understanding how our information is stored, used, and protected, we are vulnerable to having it exploited. In Fancy Bear Goes Phishing, Scott J. Shapiro draws on his popular Yale University class about hacking to expose the secrets of the digital age. With lucidity and wit, he establishes that cybercrime has less to do with defective programming than with the faulty wiring of our psyches and society. And because hacking is a human-interest story, he tells the fascinating tales of perpetrators, including Robert Morris Jr., the graduate student who accidentally crashed the internet in the 1980s, and the Bulgarian “Dark Avenger,” who invented the first mutating computer-virus engine. We also meet a sixteen-year-old from South Boston who took control of Paris Hilton’s cell phone, the Russian intelligence officers who sought to take control of a US election, and others. In telling their stories, Shapiro exposes the hackers’ tool kits and gives fresh answers to vital questions: Why is the internet so vulnerable? What can we do in response? Combining the philosophical adventure of Gödel, Escher, Bach with dramatic true-crime narrative, the result is a lively and original account of the future of hacking, espionage, and war, and of how to live in an era of cybercrime. Includes black-and-white images

Beliefs Emotions And The Creation Of Reality written by Gina Lake and has been published by Endless Satsang Foundation this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2014-05-29 with Self-Help categories.

Beliefs are very powerful shapers of reality. They can create a heaven on earth or a hell. We have the power to be happy because we have the ability to choose what we believe. However, until we realize that we have this power, our beliefs are likely to make us unhappy, because the beliefs, or conditioning, we were given and the beliefs we have acquired along the way largely misrepresent reality. If we are not aware of what we believe and not aware that we have a choice about what we believe, then our life will be shaped by those mistaken and limiting beliefs, and we will be a passive recipient of the results of those beliefs rather than a conscious co-creator of our life. Beliefs, Emotions, and the Creation of Reality explores the exciting arena of creation: how beliefs determine our internal reality and, consequently, our external reality; how beliefs that stem from the ego and our conditioning distort our perception of ourselves, others, and reality; and specific ways to move beyond these distorted perceptions to a clearer perception of reality and therefore greater happiness and fulfillment. This book was dictated to Gina Lake by Jesus. It is one in a trilogy of books by Jesus, which includes Love and Surrender and Choice and Will. The books in the trilogy can be read in any order. They are also available in a single volume called The Jesus Trilogy.
