Secrets shape relationships... Special Agent Lee Dawson has secrets. Secrets that forced her from Dallas to New York City in disgrace two years ago. Dallas County Assistant District Attorney, Nate Crane, visits New York and witnesses the brutal murder of a friend. When Lee is assigned to the investigation, her personal and professional lives collide. She can’t avoid the man she ditched six months ago. She’s the one Nate can’t stop thinking about. The one he let get away. He’s determined to get her back, no matter what she thinks she wants. Being a witness in her case puts them close—and Nate intends to keep it that way. After Nate’s attacked at a safe house, Lee knows there’s a leak – a dirty FBI agent working with the human trafficker her unit has been hunting for years. Can Lee protect her witness and resist the heat between them or will she succumb to her desires and throw them both into danger?

Classical Treatment Of Collisions Between Ions And Atoms Or Molecules written by Francois Frémont and has been published by Springer Nature this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2021-12-08 with Science categories.

Since the beginning of the twentieth century, many experimental and theoretical works have been devoted to collisions between highly charged ions and atomic and molecular targets. It was realized that quantum mechanics is the only way, a priori, to describe such atomic phenomena. However, since quantum mechanics is very difficult to apply for collision systems with more than two particles, classical methods were very soon introduced and applied to simple collision systems and, subsequently, to more complicated systems. The results obtained by such classical methods were found to be surprisingly good, and classical mechanics is now well established, despite its approximations, as a replacement for or competition with quantum mechanics in many cases. In this book, the author will focus on the development of classical methods for describing collisional and post-collisional processes. The results will be compared with those found using quantum mechanical models, in order to demonstrate the ability of the classical approach to obtain many features and details of collision systems.

A Method For Calculating Collision Probabilities In General Cylindrical Geometry And Applications To Flux Distributions And Dancoff Factors written by and has been published by this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 1964 with categories.

The collision probability method for calculating neutron flux distributions is acquiring increasing attention, particularly for its application to reactor lattice cells. The characteristic feature of this method is the calculation of the collision probability matrix. Once this matrix has been obtained, or, in the case of more than one energy group, after the collision probability matrices and the scattering matrices have been obtained, the problem of solving the flux is reduced to the problem of solving a system of simultaneous linear equations. Several approximations of a physical nature have been proposed in order to facilitate the calculation of the collision probability matrix for an annular system. Other approximations have been proposed for cluster geometry, e.g., the use of elementary cells. The approach made in the present paper is to refrain from approximations of this kind, and to look for other methods to facilitate the calculation of the collision probabilities. It is shown how an efficient Gauss integration can be used in the annular case to the effect that quite accurate collision probabilities can be calculated in a rather short time. Two computer codes for calculating flux distributions in one group will be described briefly, Flurig for the annular case and Clucop for the cluster case.

Calculations Of Collision Integrals In The Moment Equations written by Kurt Suchy and has been published by this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 1961 with categories.

For the calculation of the collision integrals in the moment equations Weitzsch's ansatz is made for the velocity distribution functions being represented as integral superposition of Gaussian distributions. Its weighting function must contain a finite number of velocity independent parameters for the treatment of problems with strong deviations from equilibrium. For weak deviations a series expansion yields Grad's expansion of the distribution function in tensorial Hermite polynomials. The moment equations with their collision integrals are established up to the third order and the transport cross sections occurring therein are calculated for inverse power interaction potentials. Vehicle Accident Analysis And Reconstruction Methods written by Matthew Brach and has been published by SAE International this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2022-01-07 with Technology & Engineering categories.

In this third edition of Vehicle Accident Analysis & Reconstruction Methods, Raymond M. Brach and R. Matthew Brach have expanded and updated their essential work for professionals in the field of accident reconstruction. Most accidents can be reconstructed effectively using of calculations and investigative and experimental data: the authors present the latest scientific, engineering, and mathematical reconstruction methods, providing a firm scientific foundation for practitioners. Accidents that cannot be reconstructed using the methods in this book are rare. In recent decades, the field of crash reconstruction has been transformed through the use of technology. The advent of event data records (EDRs) on vehicles signaled the era of modern crash reconstruction, which utilizes the same physical evidence that was previously available as well as electronic data that are measured/captured before, during, and after the collision. There is increased demand for more professional and accurate reconstruction as more crash data is available from vehicle sensors. The third edition of this essential work includes a new chapter on the use of EDRs as well as examples using EDR data in accident reconstruction. Early chapters feature foundational material that is necessary for the understanding of vehicle collisions and vehicle motion; later chapters present applications of the methods and include example reconstructions. As a result, Vehicle Accident Analysis & Reconstruction Methods remains the definitive resource in accident reconstruction.

Collision Theory And Statistical Theory Of Chemical Reactions written by S. G. Christov and has been published by Springer Science & Business Media this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2012-12-06 with Science categories.

Since the discovery of quantum mechanics, more than fifty years ago,the theory of chemical reactivity has taken the first steps of its development. The knowledge of the electronic structure and the properties of atoms and molecules is the basis for an un derstanding of their interactions in the elementary act of any chemical process. The increasing information in this field during the last decades has stimulated the elaboration of the methods for evaluating the potential energy of the reacting systems as well as the creation of new methods for calculation of reaction probabili ties (or cross sections) and rate constants. An exact solution to these fundamental problems of theoretical chemistry based on quan tum mechanics and statistical physics, however, is still impossible even for the simplest chemical reactions. Therefore, different ap proximations have to be used in order to simplify one or the other side of the problem. At present, the basic approach in the theory of chemical reactivity consists in separating the motions of electrons and nu clei by making use of the Born-Oppenheimer adiabatic approximation to obtain electronic energy as an effective potential for nuclear motion. If the potential energy surface is known, one can calculate, in principle, the reaction probability for any given initial state of the system. The reaction rate is then obtained as an average of the reaction probabilities over all possible initial states of the reacting ~artic1es. In the different stages of this calculational scheme additional approximations are usually introduced.
