Il cardinale del dialogo è un appellativo che rende giustizia all’instancabile spendersi di Carlo Maria Martini nell’impegno a favore di rapporti con l’alterità religiosa, declinata nelle sue più varie versioni: in chiave di rapporti con gli ebrei, il mondo ebraico e Israele; sul versante ecumenico, con le diverse chiese cristiane; e su quello interreligioso, nell’orizzonte dei rapporti con i musulmani, ma anche con uno sguardo alle grandi religioni orientali.
