This is my story, This is my song I was born n' raised in the Ozark Mountains near Branson, Missouri, I don't remember my family having much of anything except a bunch of love. At the tender age of 15 I began searching for something but didn't really know what I was looking for! I felt I had a void in my life, one night I was invited (By my Aunt Nellie Carnelison) to a revival meetin' in a little one room school house n' that's where I met Jesus for the first time, I was born again n' I found what my heart was searching for... A short time later the evangelist Charlie Vanhalton ask me if I would like to help him in revivals n' I jumped at the chance....We would stretch a tent in the summer time n' then hold revivals in the one room school houses in winter time n' that's when I first started Singin' n' writtin' at the age of 16. Then at the age of 18 I started learning to play guitar n' started my recordin' career as well. I also at that time stated playin' with a minister Jack Keithley n' the Ozark Country Boys all the time gainin' experience, I stayed with Jack n' the Boys about 3 years.... While at a camp meetin' in Arkansas I met Brother Johnny Holt n' we started a 15 minute program on KBHM radio out of Branson, Mo which was broadcast live every Sunday mornin'. It's popularity had grown so much in 3 years time that we were up to a 2 hour taped program on Sunday mornin'. I went out on my own in the 1980's ... I started a music center n' formed a band called Bluegrass Charley Carnelison n' the Ozark Mountain Sunnysiders, This was when I picked up the name Bluegrass Charley, my banjo player Archie "HossFly" Taylor referred to me as Bluegrass Charley n' the name has stuck all of these years. I ran the shop in Reeds Spring, Mo. for about 10 years n' continued playin' Bluegrass Gospel music. In the early 1990's I started ministerin' in God's word n' holdin' revivals, And in about 2000 I formed my last group Bluegrass Charley n' 20-20 Vision but noe I am retired because of hearin' loss.I got the group name 20-20 Vision from a song I wrote back in 1967 entitled 20-20 Vision. I first recorded it in 1972 n' it quickly became my most requested song n' still is today.20-20 Vision has put a lot of gas in my car n' a lot of food on my table over the years, I just recently found out they are playing that old album yet today in Sweden n' many other countries around the world! You'll find my music at https: //www.reverbnation.com/control_room/artist/4120800/dashboard?sofia_tour=true I am currently Local Rank #2 not to bad for a Country Boy. Friends no matter what I've accomplished in life, what I've done or where I've been I'm still nothin' without Jesus n' I've done nothin' without Jesus! Jesus is the singer, Jesus is the writer n' Jesus is the minister not me! I'm just a tool He sometimes uses for His Work! "I'M NOTHING WITHOUT JESUS" n' that's an under statement! Lynchings In Mississippi written by Julius E. Thompson and has been published by McFarland this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2015-06-08 with History categories.

Lynching occurred more in Mississippi than in any other state. During the 100 years after the Civil War, almost one in every ten lynchings in the United States took place in Mississippi. As in other Southern states, these brutal murders were carried out primarily by white mobs against black victims. The complicity of communities and courts ensured that few of the more than 500 lynchings in Mississippi resulted in criminal convictions. This book studies lynching in Mississippi from the Civil War through the civil rights movement. It examines how the crime unfolded in the state and assesses the large number of deaths, the reasons, the distribution by counties, cities and rural locations, and public responses to these crimes. The final chapter covers lynching’s legacy in the decades since 1965; an appendix offers a chronology.

Ant Farm 1968 1978 written by Constance Lewallen and has been published by University of California Press this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2004-03-01 with Art categories.

This richly illustrated book, created to accompany the traveling exhibition of the same name, provides a fascinating critical overview of Ant Farm, the radical architecture collective that brought us Cadillac Ranch, Media Burn, and The Eternal Frame. Established by several young renegade architects in 1968, Ant Farm was a collaborative art and design group eager to bring to its practice a revolutionary spirit more consistent with the times. Its vision encompassed creations for a nomadic lifestyle, including inflatable structures and radical environments that culminated in projects such as the organically appointed House of the Century and the unrealized aquatic edifice The Dolphin Embassy. Ant Farm 1968-1978 explores the sweeping career of this inspired and inspiring visionary collective as its architectural projects broadened to embrace a range of undertakings that challenged the visual architecture of image, icon, and power. Constance Lewallen provides an in-depth, anecdotally rich interview with founding members Chip Lord, Doug Michels, and Curtis Schreier. An essay by Michael Sorkin gives the multivalent cultural context for Ant Farm's radical architecture. Steve Seid takes a comprehensive look at Ant Farm's influential videotapes. Caroline Maniaque's "Searching for Energy" details the group's inflatable structures in relationship to contemporaneous architects working in a similar vein. The catalog also includes a substantial excerpt from Chip Lord's 1976 meditation on car culture, with a new epilogue; a graphically playful timeline recounting Ant Farm's essential art projects; and a rich montage of images and ephemera capturing the humor, originality, and prescience of this feisty enterprise. A joint publication with the Berkeley Art Museum
