A three-session workshop for school staff, "Children of Alcoholics in School," is described and the workshop goals are explained: to introduce staff to the feelings, needs, and characteristics of students in families where chemical abuse causes problems; to explore family disease and family roles in an addictive family; and to identify children who may be in alcoholic families and design an action plan to help them in the school setting.
