This non-fiction novel uncovers a massive scientific misconduct perpetrated since the 1880s by a cabal of smart but dishonest climatologists. They knew that climate is cyclical, but did not know why. To save their face, they used Callendar's CO2 theory of 1938, even though they also knew that this theory had been refuted by 30 years of global cooling between 1940 and 1970. To cover-up their mishandling, these climatologists have rigged the global temperature statistics to match the anthropogenic narrative, removing almost all actual temperature data of this cooling period and replacing it with a 30-year relatively steady climate. Thus, the two warming periods 1910-1940 and 1970-2000 of the cyclical climate have been added up, creating the illusion of global warming. The scientist who performed this 20-year investigation is Bryan, founder and president of a scientific research center in a field unrelated to climatology. He is an outsider to climate science, and neither a climate supporter, a denier or a climate skeptic per se. He just has a curious mind and a knack for uncovering facts and perceiving patterns that are overlooked by others. In 2020, Bryan discovered cyclical climate variations by combining two temperature graphs, one published in 1975 by the National Research Council of the US National Academy of Science with statistics published by the Climatic Research Unit in 1913. The 1975 report was approved by the most trusted scientific source in climatology, evidence difficult to reject by anyone. Two other periods of deceit and cover-up are also detailed by Bryan's investigation. After 40 years, the cabal's lie has snowballed into today's climate scare.
