"Since its approval by the European Parliament in 2001, The European Code of Good Administrative Behaviour has become a vital instrument for putting the principle of good administration into practice. It helps citizens to know what administrative standards they are entitled to expect from the EU institutions. It also serves as a useful guide for civil servants in their relations with the public. By making the principle of good administration more concrete, the Code helps to encourage the highest standards of administration. At the same time as approving the Code, the European Parliament also adopted a resolution calling on the European Ombudsman to apply the Code when examining whether maladministration has occurred. Accordingly, the Ombudsman makes appropriate references to the Code during his inquiries, as well as in his proactive work to promote good administration."--Page 4.

Reneual Model Rules On Eu Administrative Procedure written by Paul Craig and has been published by Oxford University Press this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2017 with Law categories.

The Research Network on EU Administrative Law (ReNEUAL) was established in 2009 and now comprises well over one hundred scholars and practitioners active in the field of EU and comparative public law. The aim of the network is to contribute to the development of a legal framework in which the constitutional values of the EU can be embedded in the exercise of public authority. Drafted by four working groups addressing the main aspects of EU administrative procedure, the ReNEUAL Model Rules offer a toolkit for European and domestic authorities seeking to regulate administrative action, reinforcing general principles of EU law and identifying, on the basis of comparative research, best practices in different specific policies of the EU. The book includes an extended introduction chapter, followed by the Model Rules, which are organised into six parts. Part I addresses general issues concerning the scope of the Model Rules and their relation to existing rules in EU legislation and Member State law; Part II is concerned with rulemaking by EU institutions, bodies, offices, and agencies; Part III focuses on single case decision-making by EU institutions, bodies, offices, and agencies; Part IV addresses contracts of EU institutions, bodies, offices, and agencies; Part V discusses mutual assistance between administrations; and Part VI addresses inter-administrative information management.

The third edition of this highly respected textbook introduces students of public administration to the practical issues of administrative law. While useful to law school students, it is most relevant to public management students. The presentation provides a concise foundation to the history and theory of administrative law, rule making, and judicial decisions. The most important issues in administrative law are included--meaningful issues for present and future administrators. A larger number of recent cases and other up-to-date information will be found in the book in order to make the student aware of the kinds of legal problems likely to be encountered in public agencies. One or two cases illustrate each problem at hand, rather than discussing numerous arcane court decisions and technicalities of legal procedure, in order to sketch the broad contours of the present law.
