Codes And Rings written by Minjia Shi and has been published by Academic Press this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2017-06-12 with Mathematics categories.

Codes and Rings: Theory and Practice is a systematic review of literature that focuses on codes over rings and rings acting on codes. Since the breakthrough works on quaternary codes in the 1990s, two decades of research have moved the field far beyond its original periphery. This book fills this gap by consolidating results scattered in the literature, addressing classical as well as applied aspects of rings and coding theory. New research covered by the book encompasses skew cyclic codes, decomposition theory of quasi-cyclic codes and related codes and duality over Frobenius rings. Primarily suitable for ring theorists at PhD level engaged in application research and coding theorists interested in algebraic foundations, the work is also valuable to computational scientists and working cryptologists in the area. - Consolidates 20+ years of research in one volume, helping researchers save time in the evaluation of disparate literature - Discusses duality formulas in the context of Frobenius rings - Reviews decomposition of quasi-cyclic codes under ring action - Evaluates the ideal and modular structure of skew-cyclic codes - Supports applications in data compression, distributed storage, network coding, cryptography and across error-correction

Completely Regular Codes In Distance Regular Graphs written by Minjia Shi and has been published by CRC Press this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2025-03-14 with Mathematics categories.

The concept of completely regular codes was introduced by Delsarte in his celebrated 1973 thesis, which created the field of Algebraic Combinatorics. This notion was extended by several authors from classical codes over finite fields to codes in distance-regular graphs. Half a century later, there was no book dedicated uniquely to this notion. Most of Delsarte examples were in the Hamming and Johnson graphs. In recent years, many examples were constructed in other distance regular graphs including q-analogues of the previous, and the Doob graph. Completely Regular Codes in Distance Regular Graphs provides, for the first time, a definitive source for the main theoretical notions underpinning this fascinating area of study. It also supplies several useful surveys of constructions using coding theory, design theory and finite geometry in the various families of distance regular graphs of large diameters. Features Written by pioneering experts in the domain Suitable as a research reference at the master’s level Includes extensive tables of completely regular codes in the Hamming graph Features a collection of up-to-date surveys.

The last decade has seen an explosion of research, as well as a steady accumulation of experiential wisdom; bridging the gap between behavioral science and practice, the authors review all the major findings and their implications and draw on rich clinical material to illuminate the issues. This second edition: * helps users with forensic interests including attorneys needing a reference for expert review; * gives step-by-step advice on interpreting profiles; * includes treatment recommendations in the explanation of every code pattern; * provides extensive guidance on report-writing for new users; * compares the most current MMPI-2 computer reports; * features numerous tables, figures, and appendices for all the MMPI-2 scales including the newer validity measures; and * incorporates 570 references (235 completely new).

Revising The Apa Ethics Code written by Gerald Young and has been published by Springer this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2017-08-31 with Psychology categories.

This integrative volume proposes major revisions to the APA ethics code and works toward creating an ethics code applicable across psychology, psychiatry, and related mental health professions. Careful analysis identifies theoretical and structural deficits in the principles and standards comprising the existing APA code, corrects its ambiguities, and provides scientific and compare-contrast illustrations to address current and potential controversies arising from current gray areas. Proposed revisions are informed by the American Medical Association, Canadian Psychological Association, and international ethics codes, emphasizing not only clearer language and diverse situations but also deeper conceptualizations of professional skills such as decision-making and client engagement. Ideally, the resulting universal code would be more inclusive of evolving ethical challenges in increasingly complex work environments and society. Included in the coverage: Comparison of the APA and CPA ethics codes. Proposing five core and five supplementary ethical principles and their sub-principles. Analyzing the APA’s ethical standards toward revising the APA ethics code. Elucidating new standards, domains, sub-domains, and meta-principles. Culling lessons from the 2017 AMA medical ethics code. Examining ethical decision-making: fallacies/biases and models. Proposing new concepts, such as participatory ethics and psychological co-regulation. Giving concrete and practical recommendations toward revising the APA ethics code and creating a universal mental health ethics code. An exhaustive text that spans clinical, research, teaching, and education domains, Revising the APA Ethics Code is essential reading for ethics scholars, practitioners, and the APA administrative and ethics committee hierarchies. These real-world guidelines will help ensure that the mental health professions remain both modern and moral.
