Esta coletânea é formada por artigos resultantes de conferências e palestras realizadas durante a 15ª Jornada do Núcleo de Ensino da Faculdade de Filosofia e Ciências — UNESP — Campus de Marília e o 3º Congresso Internacional sobre a Teoria Histórico-Cultural (09 a 11 de agosto de 2016). A condução dos debates ocorridos durante o evento teve como ponto central a questão do método. Tomando como referência a teoria histórico-cultural, os debatedores focalizaram, além da base teórica a partir da qual o tema foi tratado, algumas de suas possíveis implicações pedagógicas direcionadas à reflexão sobre pressupostos necessários à constituição de uma teoria pedagógica passível de efetivar-se nas práticas educativas, na pesquisa e na formação de professores. Seguindo uma sequência que vai de uma abordagem mais ampla do tema aos seus aspectos mais específicos, os artigos presentes nesta coletânea foram organizados em quatro partes: A primeira parte, intitulada “O método em questão – Marx e teoria histórico-cultural”, traz o artigo “La visión integral o de totalidad en el método dialéctico, su presencia en lo histórico cultural y sus proyecciones en la práctica educativa” escrito por Guillermo Arias Beatón. A segunda parte, “O método nas pesquisas educacionais”, contém os artigos de Idania B. Peña Grass ?“O método nas pesquisas educacionais. Uma aproximação metodológica ao estudo do desenvolvimento cultural”? e o de Maria Eliza Mattosinho Bernardes ? “O método na teoria histórico-cultural: a pesquisa sobre a relação indíviduo-generecidade na educação”. A terceira parte, denominada “Método e trabalho pedagógico”, engloba três artigos, a saber: o de Marta Sueli de Faria Sforni ? “O método como base para reflexão sobre um modo geral de organização do ensino”?, o de Ana Carolina Galvão Marsiglia em conjunto com Hadassa da Costa Santiago Bremenkamp ? “A alfabetização na educação infantil à luz da pedagogia histórico-crítica” ? e o de Elieuza Aparecida de Lima ? “Trabalho pedagógico na educação infantil: em busca da atitude ativa de professores e crianças”. A quarta parte, “O método e a formação de adolescentes e jovens”, fecha a coletânea. Nela estão os artigos de Armando Marino Filho ? “O método na psicologia do desenvolvimento e a formação de adolescentes e jovens” ? e de Laura Dominguez Garcia ? “Proyectos futuros en jóvenes cubanos. Una mirada desde el enfoque histórico cultural”.
