Es el caso del granadino Antonio Mira de Amescua, autor de la comedia religiosa El más feliz cautiverio y los sueños de Josef. Considerada anónima durante mucho tiempo; fue Alberto de la Barrera el primero en atribuírsela a Mira de Amescua. Hoy en día no se duda de la autoría de Mira. Una de las causas que provocaron dudas sobre la autoría fueron sido los diferentes nombres por los que se ha conocido esta obra.

El más feliz cautiverio y los sueños de Josef es una comedia religiosa del dramaturgo Antonio Mira de Amescua. Se articula en torno a la conjura de unos rufianes para acabar con su díscolo hermano, que es quien representa las virtudes católicas. Antonio Mira de Amescua es un poeta y dramaturgo español nacido en Guadix (Grandada) en 1577 y fallecido en la misma localiad en 1644. Enmarcado en el Siglo de Oro Español, su obra teatral entronca directamente con el auto sacramental, la comedia religiosa y el costumbrismo. Escribió más de sesenta obras que le valieron gran renombre, siempre desde un punto de vista cristiano y adscrito a la moral de su época.
