Conversations from the Left, Right, and Heart is the first book of poetry and verse written by AMS Golden. This book chronicles 10+ years of emotional Conversations... and breaks down the philosophical dynamic of head vs. heart (while simultaneously digging deeper into, "Are you a left brain or right brain?"), by neatly disguising the questions in the story of a family made up of the Left Brain, Right Brain, and Heart. Highly personal and relatable, pieces in the book tackle topics of love, heartache, mental health, and growing into one's own. AMS Golden strives to help give you words to describe feelings you couldn't verbalize before.

As well as chapters dedicated to self-care and patient education, the multidisciplinary approach to heart failure management, and clinical trial design and interpretation. The future direction of the field is discussed throughout with separate chapters on digital health, big data, and telemedicine/remote monitoring in heart failure also included. A must read for cardiovascular healthcare specialists in Europe and across the world it should also appeal to those in training, general physicians and those caring of the elderly, cardiothoracic surgeons, primary care doctors, and specialist nurses too.

The heart and lung are intricately linked. When the heart is affected by disease, the lungs will often show some related pathological or clinical conditions and vice versa. Pulmonary heart disease is by definition a condition when the lungs cause the heart to fail. The left ventricle in combination with the other structures in the “left heart” pumps blood throughout the body. The right ventricle (and structures of the “right heart”) pumps blood to the lungs where it is oxygenated and returned to the left heart for distribution. In normal circumstances, the right heart pumps blood into the lungs without any resistance. The lungs usually have minimal pressure and the right heart easily pumps blood through. However when there is lung disease present, like emphysema, chronic obstructive lung disease (COPD) or pulmonary hypertension- the small blood vessels become very stiff and rigid. The right ventricle is no longer able to push blood into the lungs and eventually fails. This is known as pulmonary heart disease. Pulmonary heart disease is also known as right heart failure or cor pulmonale. The chief cause of right heart failure is the increase in blood pressure in the lungs (pulmonary artery).

In these twenty-nine essays, Episcopalians consider the tradition and the future of their church—its theology, its polity, its missiology. These “new conversations” come from ministers of every order (bishop, priest, deacon, laity) and from practiced hands at many ministries (education, theology, music, chaplaincy, and spiritual direction). Several essayists write urgently that the Episcopal Church must change if it is to survive. Others contend—with equal fervor—that American Anglicanism can work if Episcopalians will reclaim and reaffirm their liturgical, spiritual, and theological heritage. Between these views are other writers who suggest that points of supposed opposition might indeed coexist in the church of the future—taking vibrant, and perhaps paradoxical, new forms.

It describes how to find and appraise relevant studies, including the non-published “grey” literature and criteria for selecting or excluding studies, and describes how to use the results in practice.
