Come difendere i lavoratori dall'esposizione ai cosiddetti "agenti fisici". Dalla valutazione alle misure di prevenzione, dagli obblighi alle responsabilità del datore di lavoro, il tutto alla luce delle nuove norme previste dal D.Lgs. 106/09, il provvedimento che ha modificato il testo unico sulla sicurezza del lavoro. Uno strumento pratico in grado di offrire non solo alcune nozioni generali utili per la valutazione dei rischi da esposizione ad agenti fisici, ma anche criteri operativi a fronte delle obiettive e molteplici difficoltà emerse in sede di interpretazione ed applicazione legislativa. Nella prima parte del manuale, aggiornato anche alla luce della recente norma UNI 9432:2008, sono evidenziate le norme generali di riferimento, viene descritto il procedimento per la valutazione dei rischi con particolare riferimento al rumore, alle vibrazioni, ai campi elettromagnetici ed alle radiazioni ottiche artificiali. Sono inoltre esposte le tecniche e le procedure per una corretta redazione del documento di valutazione, sulla base dei principali fattori di pericolo e di rischio. Completa il volume una rassegna ragionata di risposte ai quesiti più significativi su tematiche applicative ed interpretative afferenti al D.Lgs 81/08. Il rumore all’interno degli ambienti di lavoro continua ad essere una delle principali cause di malattie professionali ed alta rimane la percentuale di lavoratori esposti a questo fattore di rischio. In passato ci si adattava al rumore nell'ambiente di lavoro o lo si accettava come un inconveniente inevitabile. Oggi non è più così: ci sono molti mezzi per attenuare il rumore, dentro e fuori gli ambienti di lavoro. E’ necessario tuttavia diffondere la consapevolezza del rischio e la conoscenza dei mezzi di protezione, aggiornando periodicamente le misure preventive. With contributions from economists, political scientists and sociologists, Why Deregulate Labour Markets? takes a hard look at the empirical connections between unemployment and regulation in Europe today, utilizing both in-depth nation analyses and broader-based international comparisons. The book demonstrates that Europe's mass unemployment cannot be directly ascribed to excessive worker protection. Labour market rigidities can, however, be harmful for particular groups. The weight of the evidence suggests that a radical strategy of de-regulation would probably cause more harm than benefits for European economic performance.
