Onlearning How Disruptive Education Reinvents Learning written by José Cláudio Securato and has been published by Saint Paul this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2020-06-23 with Business & Economics categories.

Onlearning - How disruptive education reinvents learning brings a new concept, which appears as a response to the desire for change in education, specifically in education for executives, in the face of the exponential and out-of-sync transformations of society, which happen through technology and revolutionize organizations, people's lives and customs; with the aim of extracting the best from this evolution and expanding it in a maximized way into executive learning. The work consists of three parts: Part I deals with the history of work–oriented education, executive education, and business schools. It shows how the teaching of Administration was formalized, mainly by business schools, and what learning and cognition methodologies were developed by the various thinkers of the 19th and 20th centuries, whose models have repercussions until today. Part II outlines the scenario in which technology and digital transformation are consolidated as fundamental means for creating disruption in the most diverse areas of knowledge and industry sectors. It approaches how Clayton Christensen's theory of disruptive strategy defies the logic of traditional innovation, as well as what are the effects of new technologies on the economy, society and people's lives, and how fast are they advancing to become accessible, radically transforming reality. Finally, Part III deals with education and Saint Paul's disruptive proposal for executive education, Onlearning. It reflects on the need for education to concretely impact technological evolution in a broad way, in its economic and social aspect. It ends by presenting 20 conclusions on Onlearning, featuring objectives, actions, and projections for the future of education, based on the proposal to reinvent education through the resources that technology and digital transformation make available to everyone.

Trauma And Human Rights written by Lisa D. Butler and has been published by Springer this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2019-07-17 with Psychology categories.

Human rights violations and traumatic events often comingle in victims’ experiences; however, the human rights framework and trauma theory are rarely deployed together to illuminate such experiences. This edited volume explores the intersection of trauma and human rights by presenting the development and current status of each of these frameworks, examining traumatic experiences and human rights violations across a range of populations and describing efforts to remediate them. Individual chapters address these topics among Native Americans, African Americans, children, women, lesbian/gay/bisexual/transgender individuals, those with mental disabilities, refugees and asylees, and older adults, and also in the context of social policy and truth and reconciliation commissions. The authors demonstrate that the trauma and human rights frameworks each contribute invaluable and complementary insights, and that their integration can help us fully appreciate and address human suffering at both individual and collective levels.

Media Activism in the Digital Age captures an exciting moment in the evolution of media activism studies and offers an invaluable guide to this vibrant and evolving field of research. Victor Pickard and Guobin Yang have assembled essays by leading scholars and activists to provide case studies of feminist, technological, and political interventions during different historical periods and at local, national, and global levels. Looking at the underlying theories, histories, politics, ideologies, tactics, strategies, and aesthetics, the book takes an expansive view of media activism. It explores how varieties of activism are mediated through communication technologies, how activists deploy strategies for changing the structures of media systems, and how governments and corporations seek to police media activism. From memes to zines, hacktivism to artivism, this volume considers activist practices involving both older kinds of media and newer digital, social, and network-based forms. Media Activism in the Digital Age provides a useful cross-section of this growing field for both students and researchers.

How To Measure The Fiscal Deficit written by Mr.Mario I. Bléjer and has been published by International Monetary Fund this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 1991-09-15 with Business & Economics categories.

Fiscal policy seeks to equilibrate the public sector's financing needs with the private sector's demand for investment and a sustainable balance of payments. Correct measurement of the public sector's net use of resources is therefore an important prerequisite for managing the macroeconomy. This volume, edited by Mario I. Blejer and Adrienne Cheasty, is organized around four issues: the adequacy of summary measures of the fiscal deficit, conventional and adjusted deficits, coverage (size) of the public sector, and the public sector's intertemporal budget constraint.
