Everything is created from something even our thoughts, and all things in the world are created from subatomic particles, this is the universe. Allah says in the Quran the universe is "light upon light" (24:35), meaning from our perspective light within light or in scientific terms particles within particles, even our consciousness is made of subatomic particles. The large electromagnetic field (light) our body creates is the inward light the prophet (saws) spoke of in the famous prayer of light, at a deeper level than this humans have another light in their heart the prophet (saws) called the light of the believers 'uns', which is the light of their tawheed (belief), this is the most inward light (electromagnetic field) of the human being and it resides in the heart, when Allah wants to show someone something He enlightens that light so they can see by the light He gives them, exactly as our eyes need light to see the world, this light guides our consciousness. The Book explains what the unseen world is, what the light of Allah is mentioned in the verse of light (24:35) and how man through his physiology is connected to the subatomic world and from it his spiritual side is created. The verse of light explains how the Atom comes into existence, in the verse Allah explains how He guides man through the subatomic Universe using all the particles, forces, and fields around us, this is because physiologically it is through the subatomic universe that our heart sees and senses, and this is the Ghayb (unseen) Allah often mentions in the Quran. Allah in the Quran mentions multiple scientific themes one after the other to draw the bigger picture of life. The Hidden meanings in the Quran relate to the scientific themes He is mentioning in each verse and how those topics then relate to each other to create a larger picture. The book goes through these themes to show the deeper side of Allah's words...“In time We shall make them fully understand Our messages”…(41:53) The universe Allah spoke about in the Quran is the same universe science is discovering today, no one knows it better than Him, hence He is the one who can make the promise (41:53) to show it to mankind, but only those with understanding of science can see the picture of the universe from the sum of it's parts, “And we strike these similitudes for the people, but no one understands them except those who know.” (29:42). “Allah is He, Who is the only God, the knower of the Unseen and the Observed.”(59:22) it should not be a surprise that what was termed the Unseen (Ghayb) in the old world is the subatomic world, all those extremely small particles that exist in space. So when Allah makes a promise in the Quran that “In time We shall make them fully understand Our messages [through what they perceive] in the utmost horizons [of the universe] and within themselves (their own bodies), so that it will become clear unto them that this [revelation] is indeed the truth.”[Qur'an 41:53], it means just that, in this promise Allah establishes a relationship between the Laws of the Universe and the matter man is created from, eventually it would be possible for man to understand everything about the Universe by understanding the Atoms He is created from, and we are now living at the end of time when Allah said He would unravel the mysteries of the Universe for us. The prophet (saws) who was given the understanding of every verse, having been shown them earlier and we are discovering them now. The original title for my book was going to be Everything you wanted to know about the Quran but were afraid to ask (!) but for such a book I think humour should take second place to a more solid title, especially considering the subject matter. This book is timely in that it looks at what the Quran says about Terrorism and openly, and without bias, discusses all the above and other important topics about the Quran and Islam (-see 'Contents') including questioning some verses of the Quran (with respect). This book is up to date, including scientifically, and no household should be without a copy.

This Book " Modern Cosmology and the Quran " has, among other things, three main objectives, namely; (1) To prove the existence of God, the Creator of the whole Universe, (2) To confirm the Authenticity of the Quran, and (3) the need for religious harmony between Monotheistic Religions. The Quran has mentioned many signs in Nature which point to the existence of God and His Power. God insistently appeals to people to travel in the Earth and Heavens to seek and know His creative power, and to see how He has created every thing in the physical Universe accurately and with proportion, to look into Nature and examine the life forms and their activities, to contemplate upon the celestial bodies and the system that governs .them, and to examine the scientific signs and allusions revealed in the Quran. The principal aim is to incite the human being to reflect on the works of the creation as evidence of the Great Creator of the Universe, and to ensure that the scientific phenomena revealed in the Quran fourteen centuries ago are perfectly in conformity with modern knowledge. When people perceive this, they come to know more deeply the beauty and splendour of the Creator''s system and the infinitude of His Might. Regarding this fact, God says in the Quran: " .. Travel in the land and see how God originated the creation" (Surah 29, verse 20). " Verily, in the Heavens and the Earth are signs for those who believe"(Surah 45, verse 3). " It is the work of God Who perfected all things" (Surah 3, verse 190). As we know that the Quran was revealed to Muhammad Who was an illiterate man, and who was living in an environment dominated by ignorance. If he was the author of the Quran, how could he have written facts about Cosmology in the 7th century A.D. that today are shown to be consistent with modern science. Moreover, if somebody else had written it for him, how could he then pronounce truths of a scientific nature that no other human being could possibly have developed at the time, and all this without once making the slightest error in his pronouncements on the subject. Apart from the astronomical evidences revealed in the Quran and which are proved to be scientific facts nowadays, God has challenged disbelievers to produce a single chapter like chapters of the Quran in their beauty, eloquence and wise legislation. Ever since its revelation, fourteen centuries ago, no one has been able to meet this challenge then or today though at that time of revelation, the Arabs were very eloquent people who used to compose beautiful and excellent poetry in Arabic. With respect to this, God says in the Quran: " And if you are in doubt what we have revealed to our worshiper, then produce a chapter like it, and call your witnesses besides God if you are truthful. And if you do not do it, and you can never do it, then fear the Hell.." ( Surah 21, verse 23-25 ). The third main objective of this Book is the need for religious harmony between Monotheistic Religions, namely: Judaism, Christianity and Islam since three of them have, more or less, the same basic Divine Doctrines and Guidance that lead human kind to the right path, and because their adherents believe in the same God and worship Him, each according to the ritual activities they believe in, therefore no real reason why religious harmony does not exist between these religions. Such coexistence constitutes the bedrock of Justice and World Peace nowadays. In this connection God says in the Quran: "Say: O people of the Book ( Jews and Christians ) come to a word that is just between us and you that we will worship none but God" (Surah 3, verse 64 ). It is obvious that this Quranic verse is an invitation to inter-religious dialogue in order to find a mutual basis for peaceful co-existence and harmony between religions.

The current ecological crisis is a matter of urgent global concern, with solutions being sought on many fronts. In this book, Seyyed Hossein Nasr argues that the devastation of our world has been exacerbated, if not actually caused, by the reductionist view of nature that has been advanced by modern secular science. What is needed, he believes, is the recovery of the truth to which the great, enduring religions all attest; namely that nature is sacred. Nasr traces the historical process through which Western civilization moved away from the idea of nature as sacred and embraced a world view which sees humans as alienated from nature and nature itself as a machine to be dominated and manipulated by humans. His goal is to negate the totalitarian claims of modern science and to re-open the way to the religious view of the order of nature, developed over centuries in the cosmologies and sacred sciences of the great traditions. Each tradition, Nasr shows, has a wealth of knowledge and experience concerning the order of nature.
