"Crumbs of Shame" (1rst Edition) 2014 is slightly different from the (2nd College Level Edition) 2015; *Which is a part of a series-trilogy* (Part *1,2 & 3)... and does NOT include certain chapters in regards to the importance of LEADERSHIP. However, there's a radical difference between both copies. The standpoint of religious leadership/classification and biblical-historical information, is the predication of one universal concerning another. Its scope includes internationally-public interviews regarding perceptions and interpretations of God and Santa. It's often hilarious too.

God has something to say to his daughters. That He will always love them . . . no matter what. In 54:10 author Jada McClintick delivers this message while taking the reader through stories of her own life. Filled with both humor and heartbreak, McClintick makes herself relatable to every woman by the vulnerability and transparency with which she describes some of her choices and mistakes and the lessons she learned, as well as her boldness in her proclamation of faith and her love of God. But the real journey isn’t in the stories themselves but in the conversations that she had with God about those stories. McClintick shares with the reader the verbatim dialog between herself and God as she was experiencing various events in her life as well as reflecting on them later. God’s love is evidenced throughout each conversation and story. His grace and mercy are reflected in the words spoken back and forth between the two. Have you ever wondered what God would say to you? 54:10 urges the reader to have their own dialog with God and displays the ease with which the author communicates with her Heavenly Father. The overarching message of the text comes through clearly as the abundant, overwhelming, never-ending, and unshakable love that God has for his girls.

When she blacks out at a party and is told the next day that she's had sex, she thinks things can't get any worse. She's wrong. While Greta deals with the confusion and shame of that night, her stepmother and father choose that moment to disappear, abandoning Ash and Greta to the mercy of their peculiar landlord, Elgin, who lives upstairs. Even as Greta struggles to make sense of what happened to her, she finds herself enjoying her new and very eccentric family, who provide the shelter and support that has long been absent from her life. Much to Greta's surprise, she realizes there is still kindness in the world—and hope.

Saving Shame written by Virginia Burrus and has been published by University of Pennsylvania Press this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2013-04-19 with Religion categories.

Virginia Burrus explores one of the strongest and most disturbing aspects of the Christian tradition, its excessive preoccupation with shame. While Christianity has frequently been implicated in the conversion of ancient Mediterranean cultures from shame- to guilt-based and, thus, in the emergence of the modern West's emphasis on guilt, Burrus seeks to recuperate the importance of shame for Christian culture. Focusing on late antiquity, she explores a range of fascinating phenomena, from the flamboyant performances of martyrs to the imagined abjection of Christ, from the self-humiliating disciplines of ascetics to the intimate disclosures of Augustine. Burrus argues that Christianity innovated less by replacing shame with guilt than by embracing shame. Indeed, the ancient Christians sacrificed honor but laid claim to their own shame with great energy, at once intensifying and transforming it. Public spectacles of martyrdom became the most visible means through which vulnerability to shame was converted into a defiant witness of identity; this was also where the sacrificial death of the self exemplified by Christ's crucifixion was most explicitly appropriated by his followers. Shame showed a more private face as well, as Burrus demonstrates. The ambivalent lure of fleshly corruptibility was explored in the theological imaginary of incarnational Christology. It was further embodied in the transgressive disciplines of saints who plumbed the depths of humiliation. Eventually, with the advent of literary and monastic confessional practices, the shame of sin's inexhaustibility made itself heard in the revelations of testimonial discourse. In conversation with an eclectic constellation of theorists, Burrus interweaves her historical argument with theological, psychological, and ethical reflections. She proposes, finally, that early Christian texts may have much to teach us about the secrets of shame that lie at the heart of our capacity for humility, courage, and transformative love.
