Interior design can be considered a discipline that ranks among the worlds of art, design, and architecture and provides the cognitive tools to operate innovatively within the spaces of the contemporary city that require regeneration. Emerging trends in design combine disciplines such as new aesthetic in the world of art, design in all its ramifications, interior design as a response to more than functional needs, and as the demand for qualitative and symbolic values to be added to contemporary environments. Cultural, Theoretical, and Innovative Approaches to Contemporary Interior Design is an essential reference source that approaches contemporary project development through a cultural and theoretical lens and aims to demonstrate that designing spaces, interiors, and the urban habitat are activities that have independent cultural foundations. Featuring research on topics such as contemporary space, mass housing, and flexible design, this book is ideally designed for interior designers, architects, academics, researchers, industry professionals, and students.

The sensitive perception of a society’s artistic expressions facilitates our comprehension of its ethos, enabling the meaningful communication between individuals and communities, which is the fundamental link that connects human beings. This book explores the spirit of the Mesoamerican civilization from pre-history until the 20th century, interpreting its architectural legacy, both in the planned environments of the public plazas, and in the art that is integrated into structural designs, exemplified by the Mexican mural paintings. The first part studies the open areas defined by substantially symbolic architecture, providing the spatial forum for the spiritual and consequential collective manifestations of the native population throughout the history of Mesoamerica, linking past, present, and future generations. The second part focuses on mural painting, which has been a consistent universal medium for eloquent cultural interaction among Mesoamericans.

The Wari Enclave Of Espiritu Pampa written by Brian S Bauer and has been published by Cotsen Institute of Archaeology Press this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2020-12-31 with History categories.

The Wari State was the first expansionistic power to develop in the Andean highlands. Emerging in the area of modern Ayacucho (Peru) around AD 650, the Wari expanded to control much of the central Andes by the time of their collapse at AD 1000. This book describes the discovery and excavation (2010-2012) of a major new Wari site (Espiritu Pampa), located in the subtropical region of Vilcabamba (Department of Cuzco). While it was long believed that the Wari established trade networks between their highland capital and the Amazonian lowlands, the identification of a large Wari site in the Vilcabamba region came as a surprise to most Wari specialists. This book covers the first three years of excavations at the Wari site of Espiritu Pampa. It describes the identification of a central plaza surrounded by a series of D-shaped structures, that are believed to the loci of special activates for the Wari. It also describes the contents of more than 30 burials, many of which contained finely crafted silver, gold, bronze and ceramic objects.

He chronicles the politically vindictive destruction of many of the best murals and the rise and fall of Managua's Mural School, a unique institution in the world. Kunzle also refers to other Nicaraguan public media such as billboards and graffiti, the great mural precedent in Mexico, and the attempts at socialist art in revolutionary Cuba and Chile.

Landscape Representations written by Jorge Luis P. Oliveira-Costa and has been published by Cambridge Scholars Publishing this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2021-05-19 with Social Science categories.

The study of landscapes has become so profound in its approaches that its incursion into society has confronted the scientific community with several ‘views’ that link a broad path across various academic disciplines. This volume offers essential insights into the concepts and applications of some emerging perspectives in this field. Instead of focusing on only organisms or nature in order to better understand the world and its development, this book places humans and physical aspects at the centre of its focus, combining practical and experimental studies on nonhuman model organisms, ecological and geographical information, nature conservation and territorial planning, and the study of humans and society.
