Esta obra fue concebida con un objetivo simple: servir de guía orientativa al estudiante que se inicia en el ámbito del derecho notarial. Fue escrita durante el cursado de la especialización en Derecho Notarial que dicta la Facultad de Ciencias Jurídicas y Sociales, de la Universidad Nacional del Litoral (Santa Fe, Argentina), en 2008. Por tal motivo, está redactada en un nivel básico, sin citas abundantes, basada principalmente en apuntes tomados durante el cursado y cita directa de los textos legales, con transcripción textual de los artículos básicos que rigen cada tema, y la subdivisión de cada uno de ellos en títulos y subtítulos para facilitar de tal manera la rápida búsqueda de la respuesta a cada interrogante planteado. Con el mismo fin, seguimos el programa de Derecho Notarial dado por la cátedra del posgrado de la Especialización en Derecho Notarial de la Facultad de Ciencias Jurídicas y Sociales (FCJS) de la Universidad Nacional del Litoral (UNL), conformada por los Escribanos Eduardo CURSACK, Rodolfo FRONTERA, Benjamín PIÑON, y demás profesores colaboradores del mismo; así como los programas de las asignaturas “Derecho Notarial I y II (Parte Teórica)”, de la Facultad de Derecho y Ciencia Política (FDCP) de la Universidad Católica de Santa Fe (UCSF), aprobado por Res. 118 de fecha 20 de junio de 2001, vigente desde el año 2001, para la carrera de Notariado. La lectura de este trabajo no reemplaza la lectura de la bibliografía obligatoria establecida por la cátedra. La bibliografía consultada ha sido en primer término la propia legislación, que muchas veces se transcribe con un objetivo de autosuficiencia de la obra. También se consultaron lecturas básicas de doctrina (véase la sección Bibliografía General) cuyo estudio se sugiere para una profundización de cada tema en particular, así como de las obras que son citadas al pie durante el desarrollo de cada tema. Finalmente, no podemos desconocer las fuentes no formales consultadas, como los comentarios de los académicos durante el cursado, y debates con colegas del posgrado sobre temas puntuales. Con la colaboración que los lectores nos brinden, a través de sugerencias que recibamos, esta primera edición del Curso será revisada y mejorada, y tales adendas serán volcadas en las próximas ediciones. Esperamos, pues, contribuir con este trabajo a una amena y sistemática introducción por parte del lector, al estudio del derecho notarial. Augusto D. Lafferriere
