Giovanna Tarascio è nata a Comiso (Ragusa) nel 1968. Vive a Ragusa, è insegnante, e con varie associazioni ri- copre il ruolo di counsellor educativo in contesti umani- tari per la tutela e il benessere psicofisico delle persone. Scopre sin da piccola una innata ipersensibilità che si manifesta attraverso varie forme: dalla scrittura di poe- sie e racconti inediti (anno 1991, partecipazione a con- corso con premio di “segnalazione poetessa” alla rivista Anterem di Verona) al disegno; nel 1992 le sue capacità artistiche vengono “sfruttate” nella grafica computeriz- zata ma solo nel 1995 scopre che questa forma artistica non filtra nella sua anima e, dopo varie vicissitudini, si chiude in un totale rifiuto da ogni forma artistica in genere. Solo nel 2007, attraverso i bambini della scuola dell’infanzia, inizia a dare spazio alla sua “voce interiore”. Il 17 febbraio 2020 partecipa ad un concor- so preselettivo internazionale per “artisti contemporanei” con rico- noscimento sulla rivista “Pagine e Pagine” e premiazione (mostra di quadri con l’esposizione delle sue tele a Palazzo Ferrajoli in Roma). I suoi libri pubblicati con Albatros: Da Donna a Donna – Occhi negli Occhi – Anno 2020.
