Mengingat betapa krusialnya SMK3, maka keilmuan tentang manajemen keselamatan dan Kesehatan kerja menjadi penting. Karenanya, salah satu tujuan dari penulisan buku ini adalah sebagai bahan ajar untuk membantu para mahasiswa memahami sistem manajemen kesehatan dan keselamatan pekerja, penyebab dan penyakit akibat kerja.
