Il titolo del libro nasconde un tentativo di amalgamare due teorie scientifiche: l'Educazione Permanente ed il Personalismo Comunitario di Emmanuel Mounier, utilizzando due sperimentazioni tutt'ora in corso riguardanti lo scautismo del MASCI (Movimento Adulti Scout Cattolici italiani) e la Comunità Professionale degli Assistenti Sociali. Si affrontano anche altri campi teorici e di sperimentazione con esempi pratici. I concetti-chiave del libro sono i seguenti: l'Educazione Permanente conduce la Persona dalla culla alla tomba; si continua a crescere e imparare lungo tutta resistenza. Non si tratta di formazione ricorrente bensì di un'impostazione di vita. L'Educazione Permanente è una questione di cervello. II Personalismo Comunitario considera ogni essere umano come Persona e non come individuo, inserito in una Comunità: perché non ci si salva da soli, ma con e attraverso gli altri. La Comunità ideale è una Persona di Persone: il colmo della sua intensità produce un effetto moltiplicatore. II Personalismo Comunitario è la scelta di una filosofia di vita e una questione di cuore. Enrico Capo, assistente sociale, ricercatore, già docente di Metodologia della ricerca sociale presso la LUMSA e presso l’Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore di Roma, già esperto FAO in psico-sociologia rurale, attualmente è consigliere e consulente del LABOS e membro del consiglio direttivo SOSTOSS. Während einige Aufsätze sich auf theoretische, methodologische Probleme konzentrieren, beschäftigen sich die meisten Beiträge mit jeweils einem Land oder einer Region, wo eine faschistische Bewegung oder ein solches Regime zwischen den Kriegen und während des Zweiten Weltkriegs erfolgreich war, und wo es gleichzeitig eine signifikante katholische Präsenz in der Gesellschaft gab. Fast ganz Europa wird behandelt – ein beispielloses Unternehmen - , und eine große Zahl wichtiger Kontexte und Methoden wird untersucht. So wirken die Beiträge mit an der allgemeinen Entwicklung eines interpretativen ‚Cluster‘-Modells, das eine Reihe von Grundmustern der Forschung vereinigt und zukünftige Untersuchungen anregen wird. The papers presented in this volume analyse the many ways in which the Vatican, national Churches and individual catholics dealt with the rise of the extreme right in Europe throughout the 1920s, 1930s and early 1940s, from the end of the First World War, arguably one of the main catalysts of European interwar fascism, to the conclusion and immediate aftermath of the Second World War. While a number of papers focus primarily on theoretical, methodological issues pertaining to the book’s general theme, the majority of papers focus on either a country or region where a fascist movement or regime flourished between the wars and during the Second World War, and where there was a significant catholic presence in society. The various chapters cover almost the entire European continent – an endeavour that is unprecedented –, and they explore a wide range of relevant contexts and methodologies, thus further contributing to the general development of an interpretive ‘cluster’ model that incorporates a series of investigative matrixes, and that will hopefully inspire future research.

This book is about learning the phrases and sentences and getting to grips with saying the language without going into the grammar first. In that way, you can have fun learning how to say certain things and also you do not come up against stumbling blocks and frustrations. The idea behind this thinking was because when I was a child, my parents used to tell me words before they taught me how to learn the alphabet, so I thought that was a better way round: get used to the language first. I wrote this book to how I thought the student of the language could assimilate and understand it and get a basic grounding of the language. I thought to myself, what was the best thing to learn first, for instance; what the differences between masculine and feminine are; what does the accent mean, so I put this information in the chapter header pages so then I could use more space to actually learn the language. I have also put in a conceptual stage, so then you can think about the language for instance. English has quite a few routes to it, like Latin, so quite a few words are very similar, even though the accent can throw us off. It sounds like proper English for instance: disgraceful, which means scandaloso in Italian, which is nearly the same in English. I believe there is no right or wrong way to learn; it depends on what you want it for. You may want to practise it on holidays, or you may want to read the Italian newspapers, so sometimes you do not necessarily have to learn the alphabet or the grammar. I like to read newspapers on holidays and watch films in Italian; that is why I wanted to learn it. It can also be useful in attaining knowledge for quizzes.
