Eine Horizonterweiterung weit über den religiösen Raum hinaus bietet Johannes Rauchenberger mit der Vorstellung zeitgenössischer Künstler*innen und ihrer kreativen Auseinandersetzung mit biblischen Motiven. Der Beitrag des Bonifatiuswerkes nimmt Sie im Rahmen des bibelpastoralen Projekts Tiere der Bibel sogar mit in den Zoo. Bibel lesen ist vieldeutig, bisweilen anstrengend und unverzichtbar für all jene, die sich auf die Bibel berufen. Zwischen den Beiträgen wird klar, dass es 'die richtige' Bibelrezeption nicht gibt. In diesem Sinne möge die Lektüre des Themenheftes auch dazu führen, dass die Bibel anders, neu und häufiger gelesen wird.
