Pil Dahlerup beskriver i to bind dansk litteratur fra middelalderen. Første bind handler om de mange forskellige religiøse genrer, der hver især gav udtryk for tidens religiøse kultur. Maria-viser og Maria-bønner blev sunget og bedt af enhver; Per Ræv Lille var en kendt Maria-digter. Munke og nonner sang oversatte Davids Salmer i deres daglige tidesang, i legender fortaltes om helgeners mirakelfyldte liv, i visioner og fiktive drømme gav digtere indsigt i Paradis, i religiøse folkeviser blev der sunget om mirakler i hverdagen, i kirkerne opførtes helgenspil, og præsterne prædikede om Bibelens budskaber til en befolkning, som ikke kunne læse. Samtidig kunne man se bibelske situationer og hverdagsliv på kalkmalerierne. Odense-præsten Hr. Michael skrev vers-fortællinger om skabelsen, om menneskelivet og om Jomfru Maries rosenkrans. Bogen udkom første gang i 1998 med mange farveillustrationer og efterfulgtes af et bind om verdslig litteratur i middelalderen. Denne udgave er uden illustrationer. Pil Dahlerup (f. 1939), dr.phil., litteraturhistoriker; 1969-2009 ansat ved Nordisk Filologi, Københavns Universitet, fra 1989 som docent. Leder af Georg Brandes Skolen samme sted 2002-2009, en international Ph.D. Skole for skandinavisk litteratur. Gæstelærer ved University of California, Berkeley 1987-1988. Anmelder ved Information 1970-1995. Modtager af Georg Brandes Prisen 1983, af ALT for Damernes Kvindepris 1984. Medlem af Statens Humanistiske Forskningsråd 1988-1993. The idea for the Workshop on which this book is based arose from discussions which we had when we both attended an earlier - and more broadly based - NATO Advanced Research Workshop on Computer Supported Collaborative Learning, directed by Claire O'Malley in Maratea, Italy, in 1989. We both felt that it would be interesting to organise a second Workshop in this area, but specifically concerned with the use of computers and networking (telematics) as communication tools for collaborative learning outside the formal school setting. We were particularly interested in examining the ways in which computer conferencing can be used for collaboration and group learning in the contexts of distance education, adult learning, professional training, and organisational networking. And we wanted to ensure that we included, in the scope of the Workshop, situations in which learning is a primary, explicit goal (e.g. an online training programme) as well as situations where learning occurs as a secondary, even incidental, outcome of a collaborative activity whose explicit purpose might be different (e.g. the activities of networked product teams or task groups). Another goal was to try to bring together for a few days people with three different perspectives on the use of computer conferencing: users, researchers, and software designers. We hoped that, if we could assemble a group of people from these three different constituencies, we might, collectively, be able to make a small contribution to real progress in the field.

Pil Dahlerup beskriver i to bind dansk litteratur fra middelalderen. Andet bind handler om den verdslige litteratur. Mange af de i alt 539 viser er kendte endnu: "Elverskud", "Harpens kraft", "German Gladensvend", "Dronning Dagmars død", "Ebbe Skammelsøn", bl.a. Omkring 1200 skrev Saxo sin Danmarkskrønike på formfuldendt klassisk latin. Den er vores centrale kilde til gammelt nordisk sagnstof og en vigtig kilde til Danmarkshistorien fra kong Dan til Saxos samtid. I bind 2 om middelalderens verdslige litteratur fortæller Pil Dahlerup også om ridderromaner, fastelavnsspil, ordsprog, klagesange, kærlighedssange og om den særlige genre "Fugleparlament", hvor fuglene forsamles til rådslagning. Bogen udkom første gang i 1998. Første bind handler om den religiøse litteratur i dansk middelalder. Den oprindelige udgave var illustreret, men denne udgave er uden illustrationer.
