Studienarbeit aus dem Jahr 2015 im Fachbereich Geschichte - Amerika, Note: 2,0, Universität Potsdam (Institut für Romanistik), Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Im Laufe meines Studiums in Spanisch und Englisch wurde mir viel über die geschichtlichen Bezüge, Zusammenhänge und europäische Aspekte zu den Weltanschauungen der Frühen Neuzeit gelehrt. Erst die Beschäftigung mit der globalen Welt und die verschiedenen Sichtweisen der Menschen haben dazu geführt, kritisch die eigene Betrachtungsweise der Welt zu hinterfragen, gerade in Bezug auf den sogenannten „Eurozentrismus“, die Beurteilung inner- und außereuropäischer Ideologien. Gerade sich mit den Fragen der europäischen Übersee-Erforschungen, der Kolonialzeit und der Versklavung zu beschäftigen, waren faszinierend. Mit größter Aktualität führte dieses Interesse an globalgeschichtlichen Themen und Aspekten zum Nachdenken, vor allem über „die Überheblichkeit des weißen Mannes“. Mit dem Hintergrundwissen der Geschichte der Ureinwohner in Nordamerika, befasste ich mich mit der europäischen Ausdehnung des 15. Jahrhunderts, mit dem europäischen Expansionismus der spanischen Conquista in Mittel- und Südamerika. Dabei stößt man auf die berühmteste Persönlichkeit und Eroberer jener Zeit namens Cristóbal Colón (Christopher Kolumbus). Auf dem Weg nach „Indien“ entdeckte er die Neue Welt. Hätte er gewusst, welche Folgen dieses Ereignis für die damalige indigene Bevölkerung bedeuten würden, vielleicht hätte er von seinen Plänen, den Atlantischen Ozean zu überqueren, abgelassen. In der Geschichtsschreibung wird dieses Volk oft als Barbaren, Götzenanbeter oder Kannibalen angesehen (León-Portilla 1981: 4). Bisher gibt es nur wenige bekannte Sichtweisen der Eingeborenen. Jedoch ist es anzunehmen, dass es auch für sie eine Ankunft aus einer fremden Welt war. Was beobachteten sie, als die Menschen der Neuen Welt als die Eroberer und Entdecker an ihren Küsten, Dörfern und Städten eintrafen? Was dachten sie dabei? Wie verhielten sie sich ihnen gegenüber? Alle Fragen können sicherlich nicht beantwortet werden, aber es ist festzustellen, dass es zwei verschiedene Sichtweisen gibt: die Sicht der Sieger (der Eroberer) und die Sicht der Besiegten (die indigene Bevölkerung). Dementsprechend wird sich diese Modularbeit mit diesen beiden Sichtweisen beschäftigen und diese kurz darstellen. Dabei dient einerseits das Bordbuch von Cristóbal Colón auf Seiten der spanischen Konquistadoren und anderseits die Zusammenstellung der mexikanischen Zeugenaussagen von Miguel León-Portilla als dienliche Quelle.

In the spring of 1945, Fuhrer and Reich Chancellor Adolf Hitler, President Edvard Benes, and Marshal Josip Broz Tito stood as examples of the complete rupture between the Germans and Austrians on the one hand, and the Czechs, Slovaks, Slovenes, Croats, Serbs, and Bosniaks on the other. The total break that occurred in World War II with war crimes, crimes against humanity, and even genocides (particularly against the Jews and "Gypsies") had a long pre-history, beginning with violent nationalist clashes in the Habsburg Monarchy during the revolutions of 1848/49. Therefore, this monograph - based on a broad range of international primary and secondary sources - explores the development of the political, legal, economic, social, and cultural "communities of conflict" within Austria-Hungary, especially in the Bohemian and South Slavic countries, the making of the Paris Peace Treaties in 1919/20 by violating President Wilson's principle of self-determination, particularly in drawing new borders and creating new economic units, and the perpetuated ethnic-national conflicts between Czechs and Germans, Slovaks and Magyars, Slovenes and Germans, Croats and Serbs as well as Serbs and Germans in the successor states, deepening the differences between the nations of East-Central Europe. Although many kings, presidents, chancellors, ministers, governors, diplomats, business tycoons, generals, Nazi-Gauleiter, higher SS and police leaders, and Communist functionaries have appeared as historical actors in the 170 years of East-Central and Southeastern European history, Hitler, Benes, and Tito remain especially present in historical memory at the beginning of the twenty-first century.
