Die Autorin befasst sich mit dem Phänomen des gegenwärtigen deutschen Popliedes. In der Fachliteratur hält man das Poplied in der Regel entweder für ein Produkt der Massenkultur mit grundsätzlich unterhaltender Funktion oder für eine textmusikalische Gattung mit literarischen Wurzeln. Das Hauptziel des Buches ist daher, einen aktuellen Katalog von Merkmalen des Popliedes zu erarbeiten, der das Lied in erster Linie als eine Textsorte klassifizieren ließe. Als Forschungskorpus dienen bekannte Liedertexte, die u. a. mit Rücksicht auf Kohärenzmittel, signalisierte stilistische Ebenen sowie Marker der Textfunktionen und der sprachlichen Expressivität analysiert werden.

The Routledge Handbook of German Language Teaching evaluates and addresses multifaceted, multilevel needs of students and teachers within teaching German as a foreign, as well as a second, language through taking a transcultural approach. Each contribution starts with the author situating themselves in the geographical and institutional context in which they teach as well as the way in which they teach, for example, in person or online. This acknowledges the Handbook’s internationally widespread contributors, from countries with different histories in terms of cultural, linguistic and educational diversity more generally and the teaching of German in particular. The chapters reflect their voices and consider language learners as people who have their own identities. Material such as plays, poems, short literary texts, rap, singing and drawing are discussed in this book as being influential for language learners from beginner level and beyond. This book proposes that ‘learning’ happens by both the teachers and the learners going on a journey and both changing the outlook on each other and themselves along that journey. Alongside this, questions are asked with respect to curricula and the relation between speaking German and ‘belonging’ in a German-speaking country. Was verbirgt sich hinter den vermeintlich satanistischen Sprachbildern von Rock- und Metal-Songs? Sind sie Ausdruck eines antichristlichen und provokativen Gegenentwurfs, die eine ernst gemeinte Weltanschauung manifestieren oder sind sie provokative Kritik, die auf die dunklen Gottesbilder theologischer Sprache rekurrieren? In diesem Spannungsfeld bewegt sich die vorliegende Dissertation. In Einzeltextanalysen werden die Sprachbilder ausgewählter Rock- und Metal-Songs analysiert, die dort zutage tretenden Gottes- und Menschenbilder freigelegt und die religionskritischen Argumente rekonstruiert. Als Ausgangspunkt der theologischen Analyse dient dabei die ideologiekritische Hermeneutik der Neuen Politischen Theologie (J.B. Metz), mitsamt der Theodizeefrage in deren Mittelpunkt. Von hier aus werden die theodizeeimprägnierten Begründungsfiguren bestimmt, die in den Rock- und Metal-Songs zur Kritik an den christlichen Gottestbildern und zur Religionskritik herangezogen werden.

Etwa 100 Jahre nach dem ersten futuristischen Manifest, das den Auftakt für eine ganze Reihe avantgardistischer Programmschriften bedeutete, bedienen sich deutschsprachige Pop-Gruppen wie Tocotronic, Locas In Love und Ja, Panik erneut der Textsorte. Titel wie »Kapitulation« und »The Angst and the Money« lassen schon erahnen, dass es sich hierbei kaum um selbstbewusste Kampfansagen handelt, wie es »Musik ist eine Waffe!« von Ton Steine Scherben noch war. Die Diskurspopgruppen verorten sich mit ihren Manifesten zwischen Kampf und Verweigerung, Innovation und Retromanie, Pop und Politik, Ästhetik und Verkrampfung, Kapitalismuskritik und Business. In kulturpoetischen Analysen wird ein breites Archiv an Pop-Manifesten mitsamt ihren Kontexten in dieser Fülle zum ersten Mal überhaupt erschlossen. The "Manifesto of Futurism" was first published more than a century ago. Since then, a whole range of avant-garde programmes have followed. There is even a belief that the present is a 'post-manifesto-era'. Yet German-speaking pop groups, such as Tocotronic, Locas In Love, and Ja, Panik still publish them. With titles like "Kapitulation" and "The Angst and the Money" the bands' manifestos are distinct for their lack of a call to action. Instead, their publications connect old ideas about imagined futures with a current reality that fails to live up expectations or promise emancipation. This text examines these manifestos, analyzes their contexts and lines of tradition informed by New Historicism and the poetics of culture as well as pop theories. Current interactional linguistic research appears to be crystallizing around systematic themes, which are all represented in this collection of papers. In the first section, where the relation between language and interaction is viewed from the perspective of language structure, several articles deal with the potential of a single structure for both turn and sequence construction, revealing a play-off between planned and occasioned syntax with potentially far-reaching consequences for language development. Other articles deal with lexical expressions as resources for the conduct of interaction, showing how they are heavily dependent on turn position and sequential context for their meaning potential. In the second section, with a view from the perspective of the interactional order, a systematic focus of interest lies on three different conversational tasks: projecting turn and turn-unit completion, starting up turns with 'non-beginnings' and self-repairing. The cross-linguistic studies here all agree that common interactional tasks may well be carried out by quite different linguistic practices and that these practices are dependent to a certain extent on language features which are typologically distinct.

Die vorliegende Studie widmet sich einem Genre, das von der literatur- und theaterwissenschaftlichen Forschung ungeachtet seiner Popularität bislang kaum fokussiert worden ist, dem Künstlerdrama. Ziel der Arbeit ist die Entwicklung einer systematischen Typologie aus feldtheoretischer Perspektive. Dabei werden ausgewählte Theatertexte u.a. von Gerhart Hauptmann, Bertolt Brecht, Wolfgang Bauer, Thomas Bernhard und Falk Richter theoriegeleitet und werkbezogen analysiert. Gefragt wird nach den kunst- und künstlerspezifischen Problemstellungen, den Kunstauffassungen der jeweiligen Autoren, die sich in den jeweiligen Dramen auf thematischer und literarästhetischer Ebene manifestieren sowie nach den Positionierungsstrategien der Dramatiker, können ihre Bühnenstücke doch als distinktive Stellungnahmen im kulturellen Feld gelesen werden. Neben den exemplarischen Einzelanalysen bietet die Studie einen historischen Überblick über die Genese der Gattung und die zentralen Motive des Künstlerdramas im 20. Jahrhundert.
