Sie verbreitet sich uber alle Theile der gynaikokrati schen Gesittung, sucht die einzelnen Zuge derselben und dann den Grundgedanken, in welchem sie sich ver einigen, zu vermitteln und so das Bild einer durch die nachfolgende Entwicklung des Alterthums zuruckge drangten oder vollig uberwundenen Kulturstufe kennt lich wieder herzustellen. Hoch gesteckt ist das Ziel. Aber nur durch die grosste Erweiterung des Gesichts kreises lasst sich wahres Verstandniss erreichen und der wissenschaftliche Gedanke zu jener Klarheit und Vollendung hindurchftlhren, welche das Wesen der Er kenntniss bildet. Ich will es versuchen Entwicklung und Umfang meiner Gedanken ubersichtlich darzustellen und so das Studium der folgenden Abhandlung vorzu bereiten und zu erleichtern.
