Dit boek is een absolute aanrader voor ieder die een boontje heeft voor zijn of haar geboortegrond. Wie dacht dat geschiedenis niet boeiend kan zijn moet zich absoluut dit boek aanschaffen. Pas na het lezen van dit volumineus werk zal de lezer zich een idee hebben kunnen vormen hoe Vlaanderen werkelijk tot stand kon komen.
