Angelina Maria Behr stellt die Rahmenbedingungen fur die Haftung im Strassenverkehr nach deutschem und italienischem Recht dar und geht auf Besonderheiten bei der Verjahrung solcher Anspruche ein. Sie setzt sich eingehend mit der Entwicklung, dem Entschadigungsgehalt und der Bemessung des Schmerzensgeldes fur Unfallopfer in beiden Rechtsordnungen auseinander und zeigt erstmals auf, nach welcher Massgabe solche Anspruche im Wege der Erbfolge auf Angehorige von verstorbenen Unfallopfern ubergehen und ein Hinterbliebenengeld bzw. ein sog. "Angehorigenschmerzensgeld" zuerkannt wird. Dabei wird die Entwicklung in beiden Rechtsordnungen anhand der gesetzlichen Regelungen und der richterlichen Rechtsfortbildung aufgezeigt und kritisch gegenubergestellt. Die Autorin betrachtet das Haftungs- und Schadensrecht beider Lander, fuhrt die so gewonnenen Erkenntnisse schliesslich vergleichend zusammen und spricht konkrete Handlungsempfehlungen aus.
