More than 1,5 million social murders, using minimum 114 genocidal methods and tools, killing even unborn babies, preventing medical treatment… Nazism copycatting… Planned for 8000 years… A neo-modern type of genocide! On July 20, 2016, the regime in Turkey was changed. This change has destroyed almost 300 hundred years of democratic heritage. Rule of law and the other founding principles of Republic which were set by Ataturk have been replaced by a permanent decree regime. Around 1,500,000 citizens from every faction of society have been made SOCIALLY DEAD. Around 100 citizens were unable to tolerate this way of living, suffering a PERMANENT SOCIAL DEATH and unfortunately chose to end their unsustainable lives. Numerous citizens have been killed in prisons, detention and torture centers as a result of the torture they were subjected to. Furthermore, the treatments of numerous citizens are being hindered. Pregnant ladies are being detained and their unborn babies are killed. The massive purge and physical killings made by the decisions of Decrees or individual ministers are shown to the public as if they were only dismissals, but the practical consequences of them are individual SOCIAL KILLINGS. The total number of SOCIAL DEATHS is around 1,500,000. Around 1,500,000 innocent citizens and their descendants have been socially killed. The practice of systematic and mass social killing is a post-modern SOCIAL GENOCIDE. After four years of research, I have identified 114 types of social killing methods and tools. I also sent numerous official claims to the various Turkish public and official institutions and told them to end committing the crime of genocide. In the meantime, the criminals who put the genocide into action also segregated the victims from the rest of society. This was done to prevent the unification of the citizens who were the individual victims of the massive genocide, and also the indirect victims of the genocide, which I estimate to be around 4,000,000. This was also done to prevent the united struggle against such atrocities. This separation allowed genocide criminals to commit the crime more easily. To those who wish, you can act jointly in the fight against these violent crimes against humanity and even against unborn babies. I appeal to you to stand by and defend the rights, dignity, and lives of innocent people against those who commit crimes against humanity.

a. The set generally: [Please note that the following description applies to both volumes in the 2009 Yearbook, not solely to Volume I]. The Global Community Yearbook is a one-stop resource for all researchers studying international law generally or international criminal tribunals specifically. The Global Community Yearbook appears annually in two-volume editions of carefully chosen primary source material and corresponding expert commentary. The general editor, Professor Giuliana Ziccardi Capaldo, employs her vast expertise in international law to select excerpts from important court opinions and also to choose experts from around the world who contribute essay-guides to illuminate those cases. Although the main focus is recent case law from the major international tribunals and regional courts, the first volume of each year''s edition always features expert articles by renowned scholars who address broader themes in international law, themes that appear throughout the case law of the many courts covered by the series as a whole. b. This particular edition (2009): This year''s edition of the Global Community Yearbook is restructured to update its format and to better respond to its objective. The change affects the section entitled Decisions of International Courts and Tribunals; all other sections will remain the same. This section, divided into twelve sub-Sections, presents annually the more significant international case law in the form of "legal maxims," systematically collected. The elaboration of legal maxims, extracted from the courts'' decisions, and their systematic classification makes this year''s edition of the Yearbook unique. International courts and tribunals have developed remarkably in recent years, and it is becoming increasingly difficult to follow the case law emanating from those jurisdictions without the help of an intermediary. The Yearbook and its unique changes fill this gap by serving as an intermediary between the case law and international scholars, practitioners, and students. In previous issues of the Yearbook, these legal maxims were prepared by referring both to the law and often extensively to the specific facts of the case. In the new format, the "legal maxims" will now distil the most important elements of judicial decisions and rely less heavily on the facts. The text of the legal maxims has been reduced to the minimum necessary for systematic classification, printing the website links for the case law. An introductory note on each international tribunal or court continues to be provided as a synopsis of their activity over the year. This reduction of the text of legal maxims better responds to the goals of the Yearbook to serve as a mediator and to provide complete coverage of case law from international courts and tribunals. c. Individual volumes: The first volume of the 2009 edition of Global Community Yearbook presents three categories of material wholly beneficial to any international law-researcher: International tribunals'' court opinions, excerpted with scholarly skill by General Editor Giuliana Ziccardi Capaldo; expert guidance on those cases in the form of commentary by globally recognized luminaries whom Ziccardi has chosen personally; and more broadly focused introductory essays by similarly prominent scholars whom Ziccardi has also selected for that purpose. In the introductory essays, those scholars take on the current, controversial topics of the case against criminalizing hate speech, the global importance of human rights for environmental protection, the evolution of international environmental law, and the politics of global powers. Those incisive and knowledgeable introductory articles help frame the debates currently raging in international law before this volume leads the reader on to expert commentary on the noteworthy cases from this past year''s dockets of the following tribunals: *The International Court of Justice *The WTO Dispute Resolution System *The International Criminal Court *International Criminal Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia *International Criminal Tribunal for Rwanda Ziccardi has arranged the sections of this volume according to that list of tribunals, and she has included a short, targeted index for each of those sections, making any research in this volume efficient and fruitful. Volume 2: This second volume of the 2009 edition of Global Community Yearbook gives researchers an illuminating tour through the varied and dynamic law of regional and organizational courts. In the court opinion excerpts and expert commentary that fill this volume, researchers will find detailed guidance on a rich diversity of legal topics, from whether the European Court of Human Rights is effective as the centerpiece of the European human rights protection system to the jurisdictional challenges by respondent States under applicable investment agreements. On these questions and a host of others, this volume provides to students, scholars, and practitioners alike a valuable combination of expert discussion and direct quotes from the court opinions to which that discussion relates. The courts covered by this particular volume are: *The Court of First Instance of the European Communities *The Court of Justice of the European Communities *The European Court of Human Rights *Inter-American Court of Human Rights *International Centre for the Settlement of Investment Disputes

The best-known work by acclaimed Cuban poet Ángel Escobar Ángel Escobar’s Breach of Trust / Abuso de confianza is known by many as the most devastating book of his poetic generation. It is his first to be offered to an English-speaking audience. Merging personal and collective meditations, these twenty-three poems perform an indictment of violence. Escobar’s poetry delineates lacerations etched on bodies and minds by the sanguinary twentieth century, which unfolded out of a longer modernity spanning the Americas. Breach of Trust / Abuso de confianza outlived its author, who took his own life in 1997. Brief and implicit appeals for justice and love offset the book’s abject theatricality. Escobar’s tragic masterpiece deftly interweaves themes into a striking synthesis offered in the spirit of survival. Award-winning translator Kristin Dykstra introduces this collection with a comprehensive examination of Escobar’s life, work, and the times within which he wrote. Dykstra situates Escobar’s poetic abjection as his drive to confront thingification face to (non)face.

The Law & Anthropology Yearbook brings together a collection of studies that discuss legal problems raised by cultural differences between people and the law to which they are subject. Volume 10 of Law & Anthropology includes eight studies that discuss various forms in which the rights of indigenous people are violated. Topics include: the way in which the seemingly neutral criminal justice system of Canada discriminates against aboriginal people; the fact that land rights issues of indigenous peoples cannot be separated from political rights; the conceptual differences between the human rights concepts underlying the modern international system, and the concepts behind human rights as these are understood in the Guatemalan Highlands; and the relationship between the rights of indigenous peoples and upcoming new standards of environmental law.

“At the inaugural General Assembly of the World Reformed Fellowship (WRF) in 2000 . . . I proposed that the . . . WRF could serve the church by writing a new confession of faith for the twenty-first century . . . The first reason was that the members of the WRF were drawn from many nations and from many denominations and were using a whole range of confessional statements . . . At the same time, there was general agreement that we were all ‘Reformed’ in theology . . . The second reason was the need for a confessional statement to address the issues the church is facing today . . . The third reason was that all of our confessions were written in Western Europe, whereas the leadership in the global church has now moved to the southern hemisphere . . . [S]cholars from Africa, Asia, Australasia and South America joined with theologians from Europe and North America to engage in [the] task . . . [The Statement] was presented to the WRF General Assembly . . . in April 2010. An invitation was then issued to all members of the WRF to suggest any changes or additions to the text . . . [The Statement presented here was approved by the WRF Bord of Directors in 2011. It] . . . is not intended to replace [other] . . . confessional statements . . . [but] may be of use to individuals and churches as they reflect on the nature of Reformed Theology and its application to the theological and moral issues which confront the church in the twenty-first century.”
