Al che mi spinge quel naturale desiderio de' non cattivi di giovare alla studiosa Gioventù non che l' inclinazione alle arti del disegno e della pittura; e dirò anche certa tal quale lusinga che gli assidui studi e la pratica per dieci interi anni nella più florida mia passata età esercitata non siano per riuscire inutili affatto ad indicare una assai meno incerta e tenebrosa via di quella che io stesso dalla generale pratica guidato ho sventuratamente corsa.
