Due anni dopo la firma dell’accordo di partenariato tra UE e Regno Unito, a tre anni dalla Brexit e a quasi sette anni dall’avvio del processo di recesso, il volume intende riflettere sugli effetti che tale fenomeno complesso e multiforme ha prodotto sulle categorie classiche del costituzionalismo contemporaneo nazionale, in particolare sulla forma di governo, valutando cosa sia rimasto del tradizionale modello Westminster. Nonostante il taglio multidisciplinare dei contributi – tra diritto costituzionale, diritto comparato, diritto amministrativo e diritto dell’Unione europea – tutti gli autori si confrontano, a seconda dell’oggetto specificamente trattato, con il seguente interrogativo di fondo: quali conseguenze di ordine costituzionale ha prodotto la Brexit finora e quali, presumibilmente, saranno prodotte nel medio termine sulla separazione orizzontale dei poteri e sugli equilibri istituzionali nel Regno Unito?

This book explores the recent trend of enhancing the role of the people in constitutional change.
