Diese Analyse untersucht die Fragen, ob die Lehre Jesu Christi demokratische Prinzipien beinhaltet und inwiefern sie als Grundlage der modernen Demokratie dienen könnte. Trotz der historischen Trennung zwischen der attischen Demokratie der Griechen und den religiösen Lehren Jesu, die mehr als 500 Jahre auseinanderliegen, erkundet der Text die spirituellen und philosophischen Brücken, die möglicherweise zur Demokratie führen. Es wird betrachtet, wie Jesus' Lehren durch die Urgemeinde getragen wurden und wie sie sich trotz Verzerrungen und Fehlentwicklungen über die Jahrhunderte hinweg bis in die heutige Zeit in der christlichen Tradition erhalten haben.
