Studienarbeit aus dem Jahr 2016 im Fachbereich Politik - Methoden, Forschung, Note: 1,7, Christian-Albrechts-Universität Kiel (Institut für Sozialwissenschaften), Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: In dieser Hausarbeit wird versucht, anhand von ausgewählten Reden und Programmpunkten eine Begriffsdefinition des Konservatismus seitens der AfD zu leisten. Der Alternative für Deutschland, kurz AfD, ist innerhalb der letzten drei Jahre ein vergleichsweise beispielloser Aufstieg in der deutschen Parteienlandschaft gelungen. Scheiterte der Einzug in den Bundestag 2013 noch an der 5 Prozent-Hürde, ist die Partei im Jahr 2016 in über der Hälfte der deutschen Landtage vertreten. Ein Phänomen, das viele Fragen zu dieser Partei aufwirft und die Aufmerksamkeit der Öffentlichkeit generiert. Dies nicht zuletzt durch in den Medien als durchaus brisant aufgenommene Aussagen in Hinblick auf Themen wie die Flüchtlingskrise oder die ablehnende Haltung gegenüber der europäischen Integration und des Euros als gemeinsame Währung. Diese und noch weitere Aussagen zur politischen Situation Deutschlands seitens der AfD lassen nicht nur deutlich werden, dass die Partei durchaus Interessen unterschiedlicher Standpunkte vertritt, vielmehr kommen angesichts dieses Umstandes die unterschiedlichsten Beschreibungen und Betitlungen für die Partei auf. Vertritt sie nach Meinung vieler eine rechtspopulistische Position, wird in diesem Zusammenhang ebenfalls nicht selten die Beschreibung wirtschaftsliberal verwendet. Ein immer unüberschaubares Maß an Begrifflichkeiten scheint sich in Korrelation mit der doch recht schnell zu überblickenden Historie der AfD entwickelt zu haben. Gibt die Partei sogar selbst an, unter anderem wirtschaftsliberale und wertkonservative, aber auch sowohl rechte, als auch linke Positionen zu vertreten.
