Im Lauf der Geschichte wurden dann Erbsünde, Todsünden und arme Seelen im Fegefeuer erfunden, Frauen gering geschätzt, der Zölibat eingeführt und vieles mehr. Jesus würde sich darin wohl nicht wiedererkennen. Michael Broch macht sich auf Spurensuche zurück zu den Ursprüngen. Es gilt Jesus, sein Gottesbild und sein Evangelium neu zu entdecken, als sinnstiftende Botschaft für eine säkulare Gesellschaft.
