Torna la festa della scuola e quest'anno la cornice e il messaggio è quello della Festa della Toscana. Un concerto musicale per la Festa della Toscana dal titolo "Articolo 21" diretto dal maestro Massimo Annibali e realizzato dai musicisti dall'Associazione Nuova Filarmonica “Amedeo Bassi” e un'esibizione musicale accompagnata dal reading di una selezione di brani sul tema della libertà, sullo sfondo la figura di don Lorenzo Milani proprio nel giorno in cui ricorrono i 100 anni dalla nascita, il 27 maggio, a cura delle studentesse e degli studenti dell'Istituto comprensivo "Don Milani" di Montespertoli diretto dalla dottoressa Sara Missanelli. Questa la proposta educativa e culturale ideata e curata da Giovanna M. Carli per la Festa della Toscana, terra di pace e libertà di espressione. Tutti e cinque i plessi: Scuola dell'infanzia "Don Lorenzo Milani", Scuola dell'infanzia “Gianni Rodari”, Scuola primaria "Niccolò Machiavelli", Scuola primaria “Rita Levi Montalcini”, Secondaria di primo grado "Renato Fucini", partecipano al tema di questa edizione sulla libertà di espressione grazie al lavoro congiunto di tutti gli insegnanti. La musica è il filo conduttore principale. Le studentesse e gli studenti di scuole Montespertoli, dai più piccini ai più grandi, parteciperanno con varie espressioni del pensiero che si tradurranno in canti, note musicali, colori, fotografie coordinati dai propri insegnanti che, durante il corso dell'anno, concentreranno i percorsi pluridisciplinari sul senso e il valore della libertà di espressione come strumento di educazione alla crescita come cittadini. I musicisti dell'Associazione Nuova Filarmonica “Amedeo Bassi, diretti dal maestro Massimo Annibali, suoneranno brani come "Imagine" di John Lennon o "Blowin’in the wind" di Bob Dylan, "Non mi avete fatto niente" (Fabrizio Moro), insieme a canzoni censurate come "Un'ora sola ti vorrei". Brani osteggiati dai poteri che invitano a riflettere sull'importanza della libertà e dell'inutilità della guerra. A Montespertoli si alza il vento del pensiero che - per parafrasare Hannah Arendt - è "l’attitudine a discernere il bene dal male, il bello dal brutto. Il che, forse, nei rari momenti in cui ogni posta è in gioco, è realmente in grado di impedire le catastrofi, almeno per il proprio sé». Di seguito il programma nel dettaglio. For centuries, social life in rural Tuscany has centered around the veglia, an evening gathering of family and friends at the hearth. Folklore by the Fireside is a thorough and insightful study of this custom—from the tales, riddles, lullabies, and folk prayers performed as the small children are put to bed to the courtship songs and dances later in the evening to the anti-veglia male gossip, card games, and protest songs originating in the tavern. Alessandro Falassi skillfully correlates the veglia to the rites of passage and family values of an agrarian society. Although the impact of mass media and other factors has tended to weaken the tradition, even today Tuscan children are taught to behave and adolescents are guided along the conventional path to adulthood, courtship, and marriage through veglia folklore. This is the first work to deal systematically with Tuscan folklore from a semiotic and structural viewpoint and to examine the veglia as a means of handing down traditional values. It is important not only for its careful, detailed description but also for its rigorous methodology and theoretical richness.
