The book is a letter and will take you through a full range of emotions from anger to love and make you cry. It says we preachers have itchy ears and have cast a stumbling block at our congregation's feet. Can you show me the Seed of the Woman? or do you have to show me a virgin mother? Can you show me the phrase "repent of or for my sins"? Can you show me where Adam's spirit fell, died or changed in any way? It's a hard medicine for a sick body. It glorifies God in the Son of Man.

This book proclaims that the Bible is God's Word and gives an account of real, historical events. The book describes Special Creation as the true origins of all matter and life, that God created the universe, not time and chance. As Creator, God alone has the right to give commandments and judge us. God’s original plan changed because of our sinful ways, so God sent His Son, Jesus, who has already come as Savior. Jesus will return to conquer Satan and all our enemies. All who accept Him as our Redeemer will abide with the Conqueror forever.

A common objection to belief in the God of the Bible is that a good, kind, and loving deity would never command the wholesale slaughter of nations. Even Christians have a hard time stomaching such a thought, and many avoid reading those difficult Old Testament passages that make us squeamish. Instead, we quickly jump to the enemy-loving, forgiving Jesus of the New Testament. And yet, the question doesn't go away. Did God really command genocide? Is the command to "utterly destroy" morally unjustifiable? Is it literal? Are the issues more complex and nuanced than we realize? In the tradition of his popular Is God a Moral Monster?, Paul Copan teams up with Matthew Flannagan to tackle some of the most confusing and uncomfortable passages of Scripture. Together they help the Christian and nonbeliever alike understand the biblical, theological, philosophical, and ethical implications of Old Testament warfare passages. Pastors, youth pastors, campus ministers, apologetics readers, and laypeople will find that this book both enlightens and equips them for serious discussion of troubling spiritual questions.

Enlightening the mind through speculation: In the search for a clearer understanding of God as we read through his written Word, there are things we may wonder about. The scripture encourages us to use the mind of God. Even though we cant possibly know all that God knows, I think certain things lead us toward a better understanding of God. God thinks on a level far beyond human comprehension. Yet He is willing to give us the tools to read His mind and begin to think like He thinks! (Mike Bennett). Being sane and being saintly are ultimately the same thing: conforming our thoughts and our lives to the nature of reality, which is ultimately God, His nature and His designs (Peter Kreeft, Practical Theology: Spiritual Direction from Saint Thomas Aquinas). Reasoning is an invigorating aspect of spirituality, which eventually leads to reality. To reason means to make sense of things. In a sense, God is so misunderstood until the world just remains in an overall lost state. If people would take enough time to stop and ponder just how real God is and conform to the plan he intended for his creation, we would have a more peaceful world. I wrote this book because I feel very deeply about how God wanted things to be. But deception coupled with disobedience turned Gods plan into ultimate chaos. Some things people may never think about may be the key to understanding unknown things. So let us consider how God may have wanted his plan to materialize, and at the same time, receive some spiritual enlightenment. Hopefully, this book will inspire more people to read the Bible. For scriptural references, I used the King James Version Bible.

No More Faking Fine written by Esther Fleece Allen and has been published by Zondervan this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2017-01-10 with Religion categories.

Scripture reveals a God who meets us where we are, not where we pretend to be. No More Faking Fine is your invitation to get honest with God through the life-giving language of lament. If you've ever been given empty clichés during challenging times, you know how painful it is to be misunderstood by well-meaning people. When life hurts, we often feel pressure--from others and ourselves--to keep it together, suck it up, or pray it away. But Scripture reveals a God who lovingly invites us to give honest voice to our emotions when life hits hard. For most of her life, Esther Fleece Allen believed she could bypass the painful emotions of her broken past by shutting them down altogether. She was known as an achiever and an overcomer on the fast track to success. But in silencing her pain, she robbed herself of the opportunity to be healed. Maybe you've done the same. Esther's journey into healing began when she discovered that God has given us a real-world way to deal with raw emotions and an alternative to the coping mechanisms that end up causing more pain. It's called lament--the gut-level, honest prayer that God never ignores, never silences, and never wastes. No More Faking Fine is your permission to lament, taking you on a journey down the unexpected pathway to true intimacy with God. Drawing from careful biblical study and hard-won insight, Esther reveals how to use God's own language to come closer to him as he leads us through our pain to the light on the other side, teaching you that: We are robbing ourselves of a divine mystery and a divine intimacy when we pretend to have it all together God does not expect us to be perfect; instead, he meets us where we are There is hope beyond your heartache, disappointment, and grief Like Esther, you'll soon find that when one person stops faking fine, it gives everyone else permission to do the same.

Where is the evidence? How can Christians be confident that the Bible is the only true "holy book" from God? Hasn't archeaology proved that the Bible has been changed and corrupted over the centuries? Hasn't science proved that the Bible is just a bunch of legends and fairy tales? Doesn't evolution disprove the Bible? If you haven't seen the evidence about these things, you need to read this book! Did God Really Say That? presents an entertaining and understandable summary of the Bible's incredible record of historical, prophetic and scientific accuracy that no other "holy book" can match!

As a parent and a pastor, Jussac has observed how the worldview of his daughters and many young people in the church is so different from that of his generation. In many places, this alarming global ideological shift, to what we now call postmodernism, has caused almost the entire Gen Z to deconstruct their childhood Christian faith. The phenomenon has rendered many of our parenting and ministry models obsolete. Inspired by the unique and ever-timely skills of the tribe of Issachar, Jussac attempts to help us parents and pastors understand these young people’s worldview, and decide what best approach we should take to reach their hearts. The whole book is structured systematically, and yet it’s filled with stories. It’s contemporary (relating to most recent research and trending issues on social media), and yet it’s strongly built on Biblical foundations. Its goal is to guide us to walk in the attitude and values of our Lord Jesus Himself, in approaching His context. This is a book about contextual intelligence. Moreover, the ideas from its pages potentially can trigger youth movements everywhere!
