Welche dieser Kompetenzen sind hier nun gemeint, die in der Praxis benötigt werden und welche stehen bei der großen Aufgabenvielfalt der betrieblichen Weiterbildung im Fokus einer jeweiligen Tätigkeit? In dieser Arbeit werden Begriffe wie betriebliche Weiterbildung, Kompetenz, Qualifikation oder Seminarleitung sowie damit verbundene Konstrukte auf den Prüfstand gestellt. Ebenso wird ihre Verwendung in der Literatur und die Bedeutung in der Praxis diskutiert. In der Debatte um die demografische Entwicklung Deutschlands fallen oftmals Begriffe wie ‛lebenslanges Lernen' oder ‛Professionalisierung'. Auch diese Schlagworte werden im Zuge dieser Arbeit aufgenommen und im Rahmen der Frage nach den Kompetenzen von Seminarleitungen thematisiert. Durch die "wachsende Vermarktlichung, Konkurrenz, Professionalisierung und Qualitätserfordernis" (Nuissl 2000, S.80) verändern sich die Rahmenbedingungen der betrieblichen Weiterbildung. Daraus resultieren "erhebliche Unsicherheiten über die Anforderungen an die Kompetenzen von Weiterbildnern" (Harteis/Prenzel 1998, S.583). Im Fokus dieser Arbeit steht der Vergleich zwischen Anspruch und ‛Wirklichkeit'. Konkret meint dies: Wie stellt sich der Anspruch an Seminarleitungen von Seiten der Auftraggeber dar und wie sieht die faktische Seminarleitungsauswahl vor Ort in den Betrieben aus? Als schwierig erweist sich für eine systematische Forschung die Erkenntnis, dass Kompetenzen in verschiedenen Tätigkeitsbereichen einen unterschiedlichen Stellenwert haben (vgl. Harteis/Prenzel 1998, S.584). In diesem Zusammenhang sei auch auf die unscharfen begrifflichen Abgrenzungen bei den Begriffen Kenntnisse, Qualifikationen, Kompetenzen etc. hingewiesen. Kraft

Inhaltsangabe:Zusammenfassung: Geht man davon aus, dass der Erfolg von betrieblichen Weiterbildungsmaßnahmen entscheidend von den mit der Bildungsarbeit betrauten Trainern abhängt, dann stellt sich die Frage, wie man in einer Situation, in der Trainer, Beratergruppen und Weiterbildungsinstitute wie Pilze aus dem Boden schießen , gute und geeignete Anbieter auswählen kann? Die Auswahl, den Einsatz und die Erfolgsbewertung von Trainern macht schwierig, dass einerseits Trainer ist, wer eine dafür qualifizierende Aus- und Weiterbildung erfolgreich absolviert hat, andererseits aber auch Trainer ist, wer sich einfach so nennt. Aber welche Qualifikationen und Kompetenzen sollten Trainer in der betrieblichen Weiterbildung haben? Welche Merkmale zeichnen darüber hinaus einen guten Trainer aus? Ihre Auswahl impliziert außerdem die Frage nach der Möglichkeit der Feststellung dieser Kompetenzen. Daneben ist zu klären, wie diese in einem Auswahlverfahren umgesetzt werden kann. Der Aufbau der Arbeit gliedert sich in folgende Schritte: Im ersten geht es um die Festlegung eines Begriffsrahmens und die Darstellung des Forschungsstandes zu oben genannten Fragen. Es wird der Gegenstand der Arbeit, der Begriff des externen Trainers geklärt. Daran schließt sich die Erläuterung der Relevanz von Kompetenzen für dessen berufliches Handeln an. Es wird dargelegt, was unter Kompetenz zu verstehen ist und wie sie sich auf das berufliche Handeln auswirkt. Im weiteren Verlauf wird der Blick verengt auf die Tätigkeit in pädagogischen Handlungszusammenhängen (das heißt auch jede Form von Training und Vermittlung), und welche Voraussetzungen die dort Tätigen erfüllen sollten. Daraufhin geht die Arbeit der Frage nach, wie das Vorhandensein dieser Voraussetzungen, speziell von Kompetenzen, festgestellt werden kann. Es folgt eine Darstellung des aktuellen wissenschaftlichen Stands der Kompetenzmessung, ihrer Möglichkeiten und Grenzen. Der letzte theoretische Teil der Arbeit behandelt Methoden, die bei der Auswahl von Trainern angewendet werden. Es ist zu klären, welche Anforderungen die betriebliche Weiterbildung an Referenten stellt und welche Verfahren zu ihrer Selektion praktiziert und vorgeschlagen werden. Transformative learning involves experiencing a deep, structural shift in the basic premises of thought, feelings, and actions. It is a shift of consciousness that dramatically and permanently alters our way of being in the world. Such a shift involves our understanding of ourselves and our self-locations; our relationships with other humans and with the natural world; our understanding of relations of power in interlocking structures of class, race and gender; our body awarenesses; our visions of alternative approaches to living; and our sense of possibilities for social justice and peace and personal joy. The editors of this collection make several challenges to the existing field of transformative learning - the first is to theoreticians, who have attempted to describe the nature of transformative learning without regard to the content of transformative learning. The editors argue that transformative learning theory cannot be constructed in a content-neutral or context-free way. Their second challenge, which assumes the importance content for transformative learning, is to educators as practitioners. The editors argue that transformative learning requires new educational practices consistent with the content. Arts-based research and arts-based teaching/learning practices are one example of such new educational practices. Education for the soul, or spiritual practices such as meditation or modified martial arts or indigenous peoples' forms of teaching/learning, is another example.
