In ihrer Entwicklung zeigten sich viele Ansätze, vor allem die systemische Familientherapie wird als Weiterentwicklung familientherapeutischer Ideen begriffen und als Ausweitung verstanden.1 Die systemische Therapie und Beratung ist heute erwachsen geworden und über die Grenzen der Familientherapie hinaus in andere Beratungskontexte vorgedrungen.2 Daher erscheint es uns wichtig, bei der Familientherapie einen Schwerpunkt auf den systemischen Ansatz zu legen. In der vorliegenden Hausarbeit wollen wir zunächst verschiedene Begriffe definieren und voneinander abgrenzen (2.), um im Folgenden die geschichtliche Entwicklung (3.) und allgemeine Grundsätze der Familientherapie zu erläutern (4.). Anschließend werden verschiedene Schulen und Methoden der Familientherapie (5.) vorgestellt, um letztendlich zu einer kritischen Betrachtung der Familientherapie zu kommen (6.).

Based on a recently completed project of cultural consultation in Montreal, Cultural Consultation presents a model of multicultural and applicable health care. Secret-keeping is a seemingly unavoidable part of human interaction, from governments to married couples. Unlike privacy, which in the West is considered a healthy characteristic of the autonomous adult, secrets are often troublesome, creating distorted perceptions and strained relationships. Secrets, moreover, are complex. They differ in significance (a surprise party versus hidden incest), in the ways they shape family relationships (who knows what about whom), in their location (between family members or between the family and society), and in their effects on individual functioning (Does the secret affect only one relationship or the overall way the individual responds to others?). Because of this complexity, secrets are resistant to simple "rules": Therapy must comprise more than opening up the secret or addressing only the context and not the content or vice versa. Therapists are confronted with the difficult task of examining their own values regarding secrecy while, at the same time, providing an effective therapeutic environment. Practical issues of individual safety, the meaning of the secret for the family, the therapist's attitude towards secrets in general and the family's secret in particular - all must be considered in order for treatment to be effective. Here, Imber-Black and her contributors offer a vast array of approaches to helping families deal with secrets involving sexuality, race, violence, parentage, substance abuse, illness, and death. The contributors explore the therapeutic, social, and political issues of secrets, while always keeping families firmly in mind. The EUROTECNET program was implemented to develop and improve vocational training policies and systems to meet the challenges of change in the economic and social situation through the development of innovative responses and actions. Each Member State of the European Community was asked to identify one issue of strategic and critical importance to the vocational training system that would benefit from a focused examination and debate at a national and European level. As a result, a series of conferences was launched in all 12 Member States. Each dealt with a different theme of critical importance for vocational training systems that was likely to benefit from innovative solutions. The discussions focused on the following topics: the learning organization and reinforcement of quality assurance; role of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs); identification of individual competencies; a continuum of lifelong learning; involvement of social partners in the strategy for vocational education; and radical change in companies' in-house training. The following conclusions were reached: training was a part of a comprehensive approach to change; the greatest challenge was unemployment; change was posing new challenges for companies; innovation was needed; a new focus on the individual was crucial; employees should have core competencies; SMEs must invest in training; and the concept of partnership between industry and the vocational education and training systems must be applied more broadly. The biggest challenge was the acquisition of the new competencies for general workers. (YLB)
