Studienarbeit aus dem Jahr 2006 im Fachbereich Deutsch - Grammatik, Stil, Arbeitstechnik, Note: 1,6, Universität Rostock (Institut für Germanistik), Veranstaltung: Einführung in das Althochdeutsche, 19 Quellen im Literaturverzeichnis, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Das Ziel dieser Arbeit ist es, Merkmale der Deklinationsarten der Substantive im Althochdeutschen und im Mittelhochdeutschen aufzuzeigen, möglichst in einer Form, welche die Möglichkeit zum Vergleich bietet. Im abschließenden Teil wird ebendieser Vergleich erfolgen, Unterschiede und Gemeinsamkeiten werden erkannt und herausgestellt. Vorgänge und Tendenzen in der Entwicklung der deutschen Sprache von 750 bis etwa 1350 sollen sichtbar gemacht werden. Es bleibt zu überprüfen, ob sich die vom Indogermanischen zum Althochdeutschen begonnene Vereinfachung des Kasussystems (von 8 Kasus zu 4) zum Mittelhochdeutschen hin fortgesetzt hat. Ein weiterer Punkt, der Betrachtung erfordert, ist die von althochdeutscher zu mittelhochdeutscher Zeit erfolgte Abschwächung bzw. Schwund der Endsilben und inwiefern dies die Unterscheidungsmöglichkeiten zwischen den Klassen beeinflusst. Diese Arbeit kann sich im Sinne eines nicht überbordenden Umfanges nur mit den wichtigsten Formen der jeweiligen Deklinationen sowohl im Althoch- als auch im Mittelhochdeutschen beschäftigen. Spezielle Formen und Sonderfälle, welche nicht zu einem allgemeinen Bild beitragen, wurden nicht berücksichtigt.
