Aufgrund des begrenzten Umfangs der Hausarbeit wird hier schwerpunktmäßig auf die Auswirkungen von Big Data eingegangen. Mittels einer Literaturanalyse werden die Folgen der Digitalisierung für Controller dargestellt und zukünftig zu erwartende Veränderungen des Rollenbildes abgeleitet. Hierzu werden zunächst das Controlling und das ursprüngliche Rollenverständnis von Controllern vorgestellt. Im Anschluss wird betrachtet, in welcher Weise die Digitalisierung das Controlling beeinflusst. Auf Grundlage der zusammengetragenen Informationen werden dann Potenziale und Herausforderungen der Digitalisierung für Controller herausgearbeitet und kritisch beleuchtet. Zum Schluss werden mögliche, zukünftige Rollenbilder eines Controllers vorgestellt.

Es ist entscheidend, dass sie verstehen, wie digitale Technologien das Controlling beeinflussen und welche Rolle sie in dieser neuen Landschaft spielen. Diese Masterarbeit widmet sich der Untersuchung der Auswirkungen der Digitalisierung auf das Controlling und die Rolle des Controllers. Das Ziel besteht darin, einen umfassenden Überblick über diese Veränderungen zu geben und einen Ausblick auf zukünftige Rollenbilder zu bieten. Die Arbeit beginnt mit einer Einführung in die Ausgangssituation und die Problemstellung, gefolgt von Zielsetzung und Forschungsfragen sowie der Erläuterung der methodischen Herangehensweise.
