Nel percorso entrano come Eros-Letture la vita-opera del Marchese de Sade e di Aleister Crowley, ma anche corpi e narrazioni fantastiche del desiderio, in cui Dioniso “lega” insieme vita-arte-letteratura. This volume explores the fraught relationship between Futurism and the Sacred. Like many fin-de-siècle intellectuals, the Futurists were fascinated by various forms of esotericism such as theosophy and spiritualism and saw art as a privileged means to access states of being beyond the surface of the mundane world. At the same time, they viewed with suspicion organized religions as social institutions hindering modernization and ironically used their symbols. In Italy, the theorization of "Futurist Sacred Art" in the 1930s began a new period of dialogue between Futurism and the Catholic Church. The essays in the volume span the history of Futurism from 1909 to 1944 and consider its different configurations across different disciplines and geographical locations, from Polish and Spanish literature to Italian art and American music.

Attraverso il “vivere pericoloso”, l’arte e la poesia, l’eros di Julius Evola (1898-1974) – come pensiero e virus – in pubblicazioni, convegni e manifestazioni dal 2005. Ultimamente le espressioni della sua esistenza ispirano la mia “eros-narrazione” fantastica. Il nome di Evola continua a essere considerato, in alcuni ambiti, un tabù in Italia. Questo occultamento mi ha indotto a curare una mostra sul suo lavoro artistico a Reggio Calabria (2005), che ho visto attraverso l’alchimia dell’astrazione mistica. La sua arte e poesia sconfinante “guardano” le avanguardie storiche più radicali, come il Futurismo e il Dada (di cui in Italia è il principale esponente). Uno degli aspetti del pensiero di Evola più coinvolgente è la sua dotta “lettura” dell’eros per mezzo del libro Metafisica del sesso (1958), che analizza varie dottrine. La sua importanza consiste anche nel far conoscere testi e saperi antichi, in anticipo sulla cultura del tempo, e, talvolta, ancora oggi oscuri o poco conosciuti. (V.C.)

La pulsione per un immaginario di estrema seduzione vive anche nel Fantastico attraverso una Donna – Robot o Bambola – di Eros cibernetico. In questo “entra” la proposta del PornoFuturismo, come manifesto e narrazione: si esplicita, non a caso, nel tempo del CoronaVirus in nome di Dioniso. V.C.
