La bicicleta ha sido una de las máquinas más importantes en nuestros tiempos, su historia y desarrollo es más que innovador, tanto en materiales de construcción y accesorios como en disposiciones dinámicas para mejor desempeño mecánico. Desde los primeros bocetos de Leonardo Davinci alrededor de 1490 [1] hasta nuestros días, la bicicleta conserva en general muchos de los aspectos con los cuales fue diseñada, es una obra de arte que se mantendrá viva sin importar el paso del tiempo. A medida que se han presentado necesidades o nuevas exigencias el hombre ha tratado de modificar dicho concepto, con resultados muy poco satisfactorios, ya que al tratar de vincular las condiciones sobre las cuales se rige el primer concepto a un prototipo hibrido o de forma diferente al de origen surgen problemas demasiado complejos tanto de estabilidad y equilibrio como de comportamiento dinámico, cuestiones a las cuales se les ha brindado soluciones muy ortodoxas o poco satisfactorias que solo giran alrededor de lo mismo. El diseño de bicicletas se ha llevado hasta tal punto que ahora se conocen algunas muestras hibridas no tradicionales en nuestro medio, es el caso de los tándem en su forma común, de triciclos recumbentes con funciones que alivian las necesidades de los discapacitados y de otros que sirven para la práctica de deportes extremos o simplemente recreación. El propósito de este proyecto era establecer una forma que mezclase algunos sistemas mecánicos de tracción para suplir necesidades dinámicas en la práctica del ciclismo de una persona discapacitada, para este caso en general se referencia la unión de dos modelos híbridos como lo son el tándem y los triciclos, ambos con funciones distintas a las solicitadas pero que al ser fusionados satisfacen todas las exigencias. Este nuevo diseño se enfoca en dar un cambio drástico al concepto de las bicicletas monoplaza, multiplaza y de los híbridos, en especial se hace nombre a un concepto hibrido de ..........................
