The total number of Educational Institutions of every description in Upper Canada reported, was increase, 114; the total amount expended in support of these Institutions, was adding balances on hand, the total amount available was being an increase of But the total number of Pupils returned as attending the Common and Grammar Schools, was increase, and a small decrease of 152 Students and Pupils attending other Institutions, exclusive of the Normal and Model Schools. The aggregate amount available for the support of the Common, Grammar, and Normal Schools, Super'annuated Teachers, etcetera, (not including other Educational Institutions), during the year, was - being an increase of of thus showing a decrease of in the amount expended in the support of other Institutions.
