We should all have a right standing with God, which means that we should have his righteousness as Christians. I know that in this world it is a difficult situation and a challenge each day to do the right thing for God because of where you may be, like work, church, school, or even at home when you have friends over. As Christians, doing what is right in the eyes of God is done all the time no matter where we are. Doing it God's way is the best way to doing things, and we would be blessed when we do it. As real Christians or children of the Most High God, we are to do the right thing, and we would be able to see and feel that it is the right thing to do, to help others that are in need, help people to see the truth, to read his Word, showing all that we are walking in his light and staying out of the dark of this world. The earthly life of Jesus is described as being led or filled with the Holy Spirit. We also must do as he did. God loves you and offers a wonderful plan for your life. Find your relationship with God. Learn how to do what is right by following Jesus Christ in all that he did. Learn from his truth, learn to hear his voice. Know his spiritual principles. Each study is designed to help moms lead their daughters deeply into the Word of God so that they can develop a steady love for Scripture.

According to author Scott B. Rae in Doing the Right Thing, our culture is in an ethical mess because we’ve neglected moral training and education. This book proposes that there is such a thing as moral truth, that it can be known, and that it can be put into practice. Looking specifically at the areas of medicine, the marketplace, public life, education, and the family, Rae shows how foundational ethical principles can guide you in making moral day-to-day decisions. Informed by Scripture and calling for a renewed understanding of the importance of the Christian faith in moral training, Doing the Right Thing issues a call for cultivated virtue that can bring about both better lives and a better society. You will find yourself examining the ways in which ethical and character issues relate to your life. As a result, you will be better equipped to promote virtue in your own spheres of influence and the culture at large.

There is only one question which really matters: why do bad things happen to good people?' Out of a faith-shaking and senseless waste of a life comes this remarkable and caring book, which will help many. It has sensible and unorthodox and mind-opening things to say about God - and about ourselves. Its author has wisdom and no bitterness. We can learn from him, about acceptance and guilt and despair and the helplessness we all feel when 'none of it makes sense' when we say 'why them?' or worse 'why us?'. We owe him our thanks' David Kossoff 'Rabbi Kushner writes from a wealth of Jewish wisdom and pastoral devotion, but his theology is, I find, is wholly in keeping with contemporary Christian thought. So far as there is an answer to the conflict between the goodness of God and the bitterness of suffering, this is it' Gerald Priestland 'It will bring new meaning, strength and hope to many' Dame Cicely Saunders, DBE, FRCP

The author of Desiring God reveals the biblical evidence to help us see and savor what the pleasures of God show us about Him. Includes a study guide for individual and small-group use. Isn’t it true—we really don’t know someone until we understand what makes that person happy? And so it is with God! What does bring delight to the happiest Being in the universe? John Piper writes, that it’s only when we know what makes God glad that we’ll know the greatness of His glory. Therefore, we must comprehend “the pleasures of God.” Unlike so much of what is written today, this is not a book about us. It is about the One we were made for—God Himself. In this theological masterpiece—chosen by World Magazine as one of the 20th Century’s top 100 books, John Piper reveals the biblical evidence to help us see and savor what the pleasures of God show us about Him. Then we will be able to drink deeply—and satisfyingly—from the only well that offers living water. What followers of Jesus need now, more than anything else, is to know and love—behold and embrace—the great, glorious, sovereign, happy God of the Bible. “This is a unique and precious book that everybody should read more than once.” —J.I.
