Dynamic Provisioning for Community Services outlines a dynamic provisioning and maintenance mechanism in a running distributed system, e.g. the grid, which can be used to maximize the utilization of computing resources and user demands. The book includes a complete and reliable maintenance system solution for the large-scale distributed system and an interoperation mechanism for the grid middleware deployed in the United States, Europe, and China. The experiments and evaluations have all been practically implemented for ChinaGrid, and the best practices established can help readers to construct reliable distributed systems. This book is intended for researchers, developers, and graduate students in the fields of grid computing, service-oriented architecture and dynamic maintenance for large distributed systems. Li Qi is an Associate Professor and the Deputy Director of the R&D Center for the Internet of Things at the Third Research Institute of Ministry of Public Security (TRIMPS), China. Hai Jin is a Professor and the Director of Department of Computer Science, Huazhong University of Science and Technology, China.

Save time & resources with this comprehensive guide to automation configuration for the value-added IP services of the future. As the Internet becomes the medium of choice for value-added IP service offerings such as TV broadcasting, videoconferencing, and Voice over IP, the ability of automating configuration processes has become a key challenge for service providers. In fact, this feature has become crucial with the ever-growing level of expertise required to deploy such services and the scope of the techniques that need to be activated in order to provide such services with a guaranteed level of quality. Service Automation and Dynamic Provisioning Techniques in IP/MPLS Environments: Discusses architectures and protocols for services information, covering the state-of-the-art in current implementations of Remote Authentication Dial-In User Service (RADIUS), Diameter, Common Open Policy Service (COPS), Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) and NETCONF Explains various application examples, covering the dynamic enforcement of QoS, security, and IP Traffic Engineering policies. Covers the automated production of MPLS-based VPNs. The authors offer an invaluable guide for IT facilitators, network managers, and researchers in industry and academia, as well as students studying advanced IP/MPLS networking communications courses. System designers and architects will also find this book helpful.

Autonomic Computing and Networking presents introductory and advanced topics on autonomic computing and networking with emphasis on architectures, protocols, services, privacy & security, simulation and implementation testbeds. Autonomic computing and networking are new computing and networking paradigms that allow the creation of self-managing and self-controlling computing and networking environment using techniques such as distributed algorithms and context-awareness to dynamically control networking functions without human interventions. Autonomic networking is characterized by recovery from failures and malfunctions, agility to changing networking environment, self-optimization and self-awareness. The self-control and management features can help to overcome the growing complexity and heterogeneity of exiting communication networks and systems. The realization of fully autonomic heterogeneous networking introduces several research challenges in all aspects of computing and networking and related fields.

Contemporary High Performance Computing: From Petascale toward Exascale focuses on the ecosystems surrounding the world’s leading centers for high performance computing (HPC). It covers many of the important factors involved in each ecosystem: computer architectures, software, applications, facilities, and sponsors. The first part of the book examines significant trends in HPC systems, including computer architectures, applications, performance, and software. It discusses the growth from terascale to petascale computing and the influence of the TOP500 and Green500 lists. The second part of the book provides a comprehensive overview of 18 HPC ecosystems from around the world. Each chapter in this section describes programmatic motivation for HPC and their important applications; a flagship HPC system overview covering computer architecture, system software, programming systems, storage, visualization, and analytics support; and an overview of their data center/facility. The last part of the book addresses the role of clouds and grids in HPC, including chapters on the Magellan, FutureGrid, and LLGrid projects. With contributions from top researchers directly involved in designing, deploying, and using these supercomputing systems, this book captures a global picture of the state of the art in HPC.

Secure And Trustworthy Service Composition written by Achim Brucker and has been published by Springer this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2014-11-26 with Computers categories.

The Future Internet envisions a move toward widespread use of services as a way of networked interaction. However, while the technologies for developing and deploying services are well established, methods for ensuring trust and security are fewer and less mature. Lack of trust and confidence in composed services and in their constituent parts is reckoned to be one of the significant factors limiting widespread uptake of service-oriented computing. This state-of-the-art survey illustrates the results of the Aniketos – Secure and Trustworthy Composite Services – project (funded under the EU 7th Research Framework Programme). The papers included in the book describe the solutions developed during the 4-year project to establish and maintain trustworthiness and secure behavior in a constantly changing service environment. They provide service developers and providers with a secure service development framework that includes methods, tools, and security services supporting the design-time creation and run-time composition of secure dynamic services, where both the services and the threats are evolving. The 16 chapters are organized in the following thematic sections: state of the art of secure and trustworthy composite services; the Aniketos platform; design-time support framework; run-time support framework; and case studies and evaluation.
